The "Memo"
This is a story that refuses to die. America needs some answers. America demands some answers. As our troops are dying daily for something other than what they were told when they went into Iraq, their families deserve an answer.

The British press is reporting that in a secret British memo, George W Bush, well before it was brought to Congress for approval, had a plan where according to the memo, "intelligence and facts were being fixed". What does that mean? What else could it mean?

George W Bush should not be permitted to run and hide from this issue. America deserves an answer. He is not above the law, whatever he may think. It's finally time for the press to do its job.

====================================================================

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/05/11/britain.war.memo/index.html

<snip>
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Eighty-nine Democratic members of the U.S. Congress last week sent President George W. Bush a letter asking for explanation of a secret British memo that said "intelligence and facts were being fixed" to support the Iraq war in mid-2002.

The timing of the memo was well before the president brought the issue to Congress for approval.

<snip>
British officials did not dispute the document's authenticity, and Michael Boyce, then Britain's Chief of Defense Staff, told the paper that Britain had not then made a decision to follow the United States to war, but it would have been "irresponsible" not to prepare for the possibility.

The White House has not yet responded to queries about the congressional letter, which was released on May 6.

....much more to come

1. Send the CNN story to other MSM asking why they
are ignoring it!

2. This is the worst written coverage of the British minutes I've seen
But...it's a top story on the CNN site, second only to Culkin insisting Jacko 'never' molested him. (I don't want to know why 'never' is in quotes...) And best of all it puts Bush** in the public crosshairs to answer Congressman Conyers' letter.

So it's SOMETHING! :bounce:
