On Catholics and the Pope

CORSI: Maybe while he's there he can tell the UN what he's going to do about the sexual crimes committed by "priests" in his "Church" during his tenure. I believe this man is insane. He is vicious and full of lies about all those he hates - and that definitely includes all Muslims and a long list of other groups and individuals. He may even believe them if he is truly as delusional as he seems. Yet he has consistently received support for his campaigns to spread this poison in any way he can. He slanders, libels, lies over and over but he continues to be praised by the neocons and supported in his publicity campaigns. His hates and viciousness are politically useful to the neocons, who want war with Iran and domination over the Middle East any way they can get it. So they use all the conduits of hatred and lies - Corsi and hate radio and the compliant, corrupt corporate media - to push the American public into fear and a belief that "self-defense" against the neocons' designated "enemies" are essential for survival of their families.

It is pure evil. Not the American people, but those who deliberately deceive them.

I recommend working through that entire thread. There are a lot of important things in there, and the more we know about it the less surprisable we will be.

I also strongly recommend listening to the lecture of David Griffin, a theologian who presents an overwhelming case that this government of neocons PLANNED AND STAGED THE 9/11 ATTACKS ON THEIR OWN CITIZENS to generate enough fear and hate that they could get the political power they wanted. Prof. Griffin also has much to say about what we need to do to promote real peace and understanding. His speech was given under the auspices of a group whose main purpose is to promote understanding between Muslims and the other faiths.

If you do not have links to the video of this speech, let me know and I'll post them. It was all over DU a few days back when his rebroadcast speech was shown on CSPAN - I saw the Corsi talk because I left the streaming video on the computer running and it aired later that same afternoon. The contrast with Griffin's speech and his whole purpose and tone could not be greater.

PM me if you want links to Griffin's work on the 9/11 attacks. Every American - indeed, every world citizen - should hear this speech. It is that vitally important to our understanding, I believe.

4. The hate-mongering about Muslims is politically-driven. Read this

terrifying thread about what Jerome Corsi (Swift Boat liars book co-author) is saying about Iran. He is viciously, insanely (literally, I believe) biased against Muslims. He is pushing the idea that Iran will detonate a nuclear bomb in an American city - he likes the idea of it being NYC - as soon as they have enough enriched uranium for a warhead. He says there are 'sleeper cells" of Iranian terrorists in place ready to set this bomb up.

He says Bush's "patience" with iran will end next month - June. Same time that Seymour Hersh and Scott Ritter give for the invasion of Iraq.

It sounds like Israel will invade Iran first and then there will be some reason set up for the US to help Israel in this attack. Corsi calls this "Operation Samson" but he is wrong - it is "Operation Daniel" and Ariel Sharon was talking to Bush and the other administration people last month to push it. He came all the way to Crawford Texas for this - a sign that this is a serious deal. I believe a pre-emptive attack is planned and something will happen in this country to make sure that war follows.

The name of the planned TV ads that Corsi's "Iran Freedom Foundation" will be airing is "An Atomic 9/11"

The magnitude of the evil and lies in pushing this propaganda is hard for me to grasp. The hate and the fearmongering and the rest of it -- I just can't human beings so foul as to push this war, but they are doing it.

Please read this whole thread, including the links in the replies. It's very, very important. We must figure how to respond. Something terrible is going to happen, I'm afraid.
