Politically Active Baptist Minister Resigns
The preacher who campaigned for george bush from the pulpit and in a tax exempt status who tried to remove Kerry supporters from the church congregation has resigned. "Staying on would only cause more hurt for me and my family." BOO FUCKING HOO! Dontcha just love that christian conservative sticktoitiveness. As long as he could hate in the dark it was okay. And where the fuck is dobson and robertson? Shouldn't they be riding to the rescue of someone who has been exposed as a politicizing minister? Maybe their low profile is a reflection of their keen love of their tax exempt status.

The good news, the IRS has picked up the scent. I suggest the removal of the church's tax exempt status to at least last October when he started blathering on about politics and candidates from the pulpit.

1. Jesus H. Christ!
"For me to remain now would only cause more hurt for me and my family," the preacher, the Rev. Chan Chandler, said as he left a meeting at East Waynesville Baptist Church.

Oh, the POOR LITTLE VICTIM. Hey, Chan, you fuckwad, go FUCK yourself. I hope this is the BEST thing that happens to you in the rest of your miserable hatemongering fascist life.

6. How typical of fundie Bush supporters,
refusing to accept responsibility for his actions, portraying himself as a victim, as warrens said above.

Worried about himself and his family--the trouble THEY are being cause--no mention of the people he kicked out of the church or the impact of this on the whole congregation. And the publicity the church got.

I wonder if he was presented with "Quit or be fired?"

Any other church that hires him, they must be fools. Of course, there are plenty of fools out there.

Maybe he'll start up his own goofball church.

4. Where's Dobson? He's too busy whining about Trent Lott
being a sell-out on the "Nukular option" to worry about one small-time "preacher" (and I use that term VERY loosely)

I really love it when the right-wingers start eating each other for lunch!

5. Nominated for Best Performance as a "Persecuted Republican Victim"
It brings tears to my eyes. However I think Tom Delay may win the category this year for his role in "I am being hounded by the Liberal Media."

7. Notice it is all about him. "Staying on would only cause more hurt for me
and my family." What about the congregation you destroyed with your warped theology, asshat?

9. It would be a shame
for the church to lose its tax exempt status when the cause of the illegality has resigned. The IRS had better monitor his new church very closely.

Bastard has this all figured out, jump ship when you have started the inferno.
