Schroen, former CIA had some interesting things to say like:

MR. RUSSERT: Mr. Black gave you specific instructions on what he wanted you to bring home.
MR. SCHROEN: That's true. He did ask that once we got bin Laden and killed him, that we send his head back in a cardboard box on dry ice so that he could take it down and show the president.

Also Schroen proved that John Kerry was right about Tora Bora, and a few other tidbits like Iraq is not helping the war on terrorism or Afghanistan.

1. Kerry was right; Bush was wrong
This applies to so many issues. If only we could get this message past the confusion caused by the Republican noise machine.

2. If more Dems had backed up Kerry when he reported it in early 2002
I doubt that the media could have gotten away with ignoring Bush's failed military strategy. Instead, Bush was being praised by almost the entire media as a great commander-in-chief, and too few Dems backed up Kerry's version of events which happened to be the truth.

Because the media covered Bush's ass on this story, the American people were too late in understanding what a MISERABLE FAILURE Bush actually was as commander-in-chief.

4. Funny how Russert failed to talk about it as an issue before the election
Edited on Mon May-09-05 11:06 AM by blm
even though Kerry talked about it throughout two years of public appearances, always targeting Bush's incompetence as commander-in-chief.

I think Russert is looking to be able to point to this as proof he wasn't hiding it completely. An HONEST journalist would have reported on it and discussed it AS AN ISSUE when it first happened and pressed for answers.
