Poll question: What Group Is Most Likely To Be Scapegoated By The Right In 2006?
With things now going rapidly south for the reactionary right, and with their faux cowboy emcee seeming more ineffectual and lost by the hour, the right can be expected to launch a campaign of hate against a targeted group in 2006. Their fanatical need to hold on to power coupled with a bankrupt agenda, weakened president, plus past tendencies to play the "hate card" when needed, makes the use of this tactic a certainly in the upcoming election cycle. Who do you think will serve as the right's scapegoat in 2006?

I miss hockey and that helped.

Voted Gays and Lesbians in poll because it has worked so well for them, why would they quit?

3. All of the above, especially those who fall into the intersections...
..of two or more groups. Could someone draw and post a graph on this thread of how that would look?

4. It will be illegal immigration.
The "Minutemen" have given the Repugs the opening they wanted on this wedge issue. Expect the Repugs in congress to begin sending up more and more onerous, intrusive, and punitive immigration measures.

Gays are always an easy target for them, but they'll need more to fire up (deceive and distract!) an electorate that is already tired of their failures on key issues.

I keep seeing a lot of right wing posts about immigration on even non-political sites, so it's brewing.

7. Good point...
While the neo-scum will continue their war against gays and lesbians, the Minutemen and their enabler Arnold Schwarzenegger have identified an issue for them that will be seen as quite an opportunity.

Not since Lester Maddox and George Wallace has blatant racism had the backing of a sitting state governor.

9. Gays and lesbians
Only 13 states have outlawed gay marriage so far...they aren't done with that party yet.
