Regardless of the few voices that claim that they ARE in favor of abortion, I am not.

What I am, and always have been, is in favor of people making up their own minds on moral issues, and of women and men making their own health choices.

Allow politicians to chose for you, and you give up a freedom. Freedoms are often not wrested from the public by force, but handed over by the public in a deceptive exchange, often for security.

In some cases we want security from terrorists.But giving up liberty never lessons terror, it always increases terror.

In some cases we want security from a wrathful God. But forcing a person to obey a God that does not live in their heart does not create love for God, or an ethical and moral society. It creates fear and hatred of God, and a supressed and spiteful society.

My daughter was at the convention and was thrilled to hear him speak again. We need to hear Dr. Dean's words of good sense more frequently!
