Keep telling yourself : It's not really happening....
This is not fascism. This is just democracy - Republican style. The economy is not going down the tubes - we are just tightening our belts and cutting waste out of government.

Keep telling yourself: These deficits don't really matter - compared to the GDP. We can cut taxes forever - and government will still continue to grow. Once we get everyone in the stock market, everyone will be a Republican and we will all be the investing class.

Keep telling yourself things are actually doing quite well. It is the taxcuts that are making the economy grow - it is not the grandest Keynesian spending spree in history. That has nothing to do with growth.

Keep telling yourself we are spreading democracy around the world - it may take a couple of decades and hundreds of thousands or millions of lives lost, but it will be worth because "they" will be living in democracy. Keep telling yourself it is just "politics"...

2. It is fascism alright
And the future of any American worker is highly diminished whether you can see it or not. I was at the flea market today and people would not buy anything. I saw a man that had just survived a $13,000 heart operation that he really did not even need as he only had 30% blockage in that artery try to sell a 19 inch color television for $20. He ended up taking it with him. People were not buying crap outside of food, and that is because produce is cheaper than anywhere else. It is pathetic.

Of course when you cannot smoke a joint in peace, you have to realize something is bad wrong with America. Superman would be working overtime in advancing truth, justice, and the American way as the forces that now control the USG want the exact opposite.

4. Well the rich are definitely getting richer.
The recipients of the big tax cuts continue to treat themselves to all kinds of expensive crap. In Southern California a POS old beat up tract house sells for over 600K. There are plenty of Mercedes Benzes on the road.

Meantime the vast middle and those not making it at all are drowning in a sea of debt as they try to scrape the money together for food, rent, clothes, utilties, insurance - living from paycheck to paycheck (if they are lucky enough to have one) and hoping against hope some major illness won't wipe them out. It's no wonder people are clueless about what's going on around them. They're too busy trying to survive.

5. One BIG example of why people will just not entertain the F word
is that they "reason" that there is no comparison with Germany or Italy because there is no genocide or mass graves happening.

Well, then just What The Hell is going on in Afghanistan and Iraq?

6. Why, that's just...um....the exact same thing Mussolini did!
Foreign conquests as a way to recapture our national myth (Imperial Rome for Il Duce, America as the Champion of Democracy for us)

9. Watching the History channel
yesterday. Back to back stories about the SS and Nazi Germany. Scared the crap out of me. The similaries are frightening. How it started and how they killed so many people.
