What do you think about doing a Bed-In?

Like John and Yoko? Who can we get? We can get media attention that way, and tell the truth about this administration, you know, the part that the media is afraid to tell. Am I just dumb to think this would work! It is so whacky I think the media would go for it!

That's why and how they conceived the idea of a "love-in."

Although, now that I think about it, does anyone know if Courtney Love is available? If so, I would be willing to bend my strict "no heroin" policy.

I get so discouraged here at DU sometimes. There are some people here who really love to crush ideas, and hopes. Yeah, maybe a dumb idea, and I don't believe the part about them doing heroin during the bed-in, but they had ideas, and acted upon them. I think we should be deperate at this point to get the truth out there, no matter what it takes! So do something the media will cover! Look at the freak shows on the news all the time. Run away brides, Michael Jackson, a finger in a bowl of chili. We'd better start thinking outside of the box. Maybe that is what Karl Rove does!

4. I'm sorry, I was being facetious

I joke around a lot, partly because that's my personality, and partly because I, too, get so discouraged here at DU sometimes.

But humor and seriousness are not mutually exclusive concepts. In almost every message I write, even those that are light-hearted and facetious, there can usually be found a kernel of truth.

For instance, the press won't pay one bit of attention to someone like you or me having a bed-in (which when I was married I referred to as "Sunday"). For it to work and to get any kind of coverage at all, it would need someone famous.

And preferably someone not high on heroin;) .

2. I don't believe this is dumb but I'm from the 'make love not war'

generation..I enjoyed 'love boat' and even most parts of 'woodstock'..Bed-in? For John, Yoko, and Julian? YES!! Hell, I'd say yes if it were Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki! Anyone who knows me knows I'd do my part!
