"Memo hints Bush made Intel fit policy" - front page of Charlotte Observer
I was almost knocked over when I saw this headline when I opened the paper this morning. It was placed at the top right of the paper and though it didn't restate the whole context of the report we have been reading here over the last week it did report:
"There was a perceptible shift in attitude. Military action was now seen as inevitable," the MI-6 chief said at the meeting, "Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action, justified by conjunction of terrorism and WMD"

"The memo said ' the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy' "

The writers were Warren P. Strobel and John Walcott of Knight Ridder. Hopefully others around the country who have Knight Ridder as their publisher of their local papers will wake up to the same great surprise!

3. Knight-Ridder was the one chain who distinguished themselves
by publishing real facts about the war even two years ago. It got drowned out in the orchestrated Bush-media-war machine, though. I am still waiting to see BUSH LIED in 144 point type on the headlines over the fold.

10. It is likely that Blair will be forced to resign soon
and when he does he will be facing war crimes charges. If Blair gets charged, then Bush will be going down with him.

Memo: Bush made intel fit Iraq policy

By WARREN P. STROBEL and JOHN WALCOTT

Knight Ridder Newspapers

WASHINGTON - A highly classified British memo, leaked in the midst of Britain's just-concluded election campaign, indicates that President Bush decided to overthrow Iraqi President Saddam Hussein by summer 2002 and was determined to ensure that U.S. intelligence data supported his policy.

The document, which summarizes a July 23, 2002, meeting of British Prime Minister Tony Blair with his top security advisers, reports on a visit to Washington by the head of Britain's MI-6 intelligence service.

The visit took place while the Bush administration was still declaring to the American public that no decision had been made to go to war.

"There was a perceptible shift in attitude. Military action was now seen as inevitable," the MI-6 chief said at the meeting, according to the memo. "Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD," weapons of mass destruction.

The memo said "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

9. Boycott the charlotte Observer!!!
:sarcasm: Cancel your subscription. The editors are commie, Liberal terrorists. Not to stand with our great moral leader during times of war should be enough to shut this paper down. :sarcasm:
