I usually don't have the occasion to listen to the rantings of this madman but I was coming back from painting our new rental and I turned on hate radio.

As he played clips from Laura Bush's jokes Savage offered the following:

Guess what idiot-you bought an image, a lie, and you seem to be unable to make the connection between this and how quickly W dropped support for the Gay Marriage amendment and how W completely lets you and your kind do the dirty work for you and then says that religion shouldn't be a determinant of patriotism. GET THE CLUE YET?

-Several elderly sounding women called in with "Oh my I am shocked and very concerned with this" "Oh my She seems to be such a wonderful wife why did she do that?"

One guy called in to say that he thought Savage was blowing it out of proportion and that he thought it was funny. When Savage found out that the guy voted for Kerry he went into "That makes perfect sense you liberal scum think that that sort of thing is funny"

This was repeated in one form or another several times

so Laura's routine, while I did not find it all that funny, was not offensive to me personally.
As the wife of the president, perhaps she did go overboard.

But...if her performance offends any right-wing conservative, and causes a few of the more
intelligent within their ranks to pay closer attention, I say she should give up her day job,
and take her act on the road.
