1. It Just Doesn't Seem Possible

After all the close calls of the past cold war, that we could have "leaders" stupid enough to want to start a new one by alarming emerging powers in Asia, and a new epoch in which casual use of nuclear weaponry is thinkable and assumed.

2. It Boggles The Mind

I'll be 57 soon which puts me in the same age group as they are. I remember the drills where we got under our desks at school. I remember putting canned goods and tubs of water in the basement during Cuban missile crisis. That was scary shit, especially for a kid. How could they have forgotten? Or maybe it's that they just don't care.
