1. I think it's true....
sooner or later Repub Senators and Reps have to realize that they have to face the voters again even if Dubya doesn't.... Dubya doesn't give a rip about anything but his agenda (and consequent legacy)....

some will start distancing themselves soon

3. Yep
They have to be re-elected again. Bush doesn't. Nor Cheney or even Bill Frist (he's not running again). I would like to see John McCain do that.

4. All it would take probably is for one of them to stand up
A prominent one.

But will they?

5. If DeLay is any indication, you could be right
BugMan was once considered "untouchable". If Republicans can now admit to being embarrassed by his sleaze, then why not admit to being embarrassed by Junior's lies, stupidity, and TOTAL FUCKING FAILURE.

6. 3 had a brain and a heart yesterday-
DeWine (R-OH), Chafee (R-RI), and Voinovich (R-OH) voted against that sham of a budget. Since not one Democrat voted for it in either the House or Senate, we need to emphatically call it the REPUBLICAN BUDGET BILL. I am so furious....I volunteer with people who depend on Medicaid, and I know the faces of the children who will not get care. It's personal!

7. Nope.
They have shown that they will attack the differing one with the compassion of a piranha.
