1. Never.
The man's ego is so grossly outsized that it will never allow him to admit defeat and step down.
Not if the president ordered, not if the pope ordered, not if god came down from the heavens on a chariot of lightning bolts.
Never.

5. It might be made to appear to be voluntary.
Bush has studied Stalin's methods carefully.

Remember he was on the Air Force one plane with Bush going to Texas so they could've had a nice little chat. Maybe Bush promised him something. Or blackmailed him.

6. I don't want him to resign.
I want him carried kicking and screaming out of his office and thrown in the slammer.

14. I hope not
If he resigns, we'll get someone with comparable views.

If he stays on, every Democrat running can also run against Tom DeLay and use that to their advantage.

15. IMHO B*sh gave him "the talk" on Air Force One and he is
on his way out.
(I think he's lucky they didn't actually toss him overboard)

16. I hope he tries to stick around until 2006
I'd prefer to see him lose his seat in an election and see the Repubs get walloped in a 1994 style landslide for sticking with him.
