Republican Senator Orrin Hatch said this on C-Span's Washington Journal this morning about 8:33 am EST. The topic was the Senate filibuster and federal judicial appointments.

A sane caller was finally able to get through and comment on this outrageous statement during a later segment which featured a Republican House member prattling on about MLB and steroid use. (Tom Davis from VA?) The caller suggested that using this sort of terminology about Senate Democrats during a time of war is extremely inflammatory and that it is very, very wrong to equate Democrats with terrorists who may bomb the US Senate.

The Republican representative pretty much blew off the callers concerns.
