Fighting for Election Justice and Integrity; Saturday, May 7th
I thought I'd share this so folks from other areas outside Ohio may be informed. This Teach-In is a gift for Democrats who want to learn how reform the election process and become savvy.

Already know you’re attending? Take the following link to register: http://freepress.org/e_conf_reg.php
Map: http://tinyurl.com/csvre

This Teach-In will help you learn more about what went wrong and give you a chance to help make things right in the future. More background material here: http://freepress.org/e_conf.php

This event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to help cover expenses. The keynote address will be delivered by Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. Cleveland Congresswoman Tubbs Jones contested the Ohio vote in Congress January 6th and has introduced federal legislation to address election integrity.

Other presenters include:

Gregory Moore, Executive Director, NAACP National Voter Fund
Bob Fitrakis, Free Press editor and election contest attorney
Cliff Arnebeck, Common Cause and Alliance for Democracy
Rev. Bill Moss, Ohio challenger of the 2004 election
Richard Hayes Phillips, statistician
Phyllis Huster, citizen auditor of Diebold DREs in Georgia
Lynn Landes, election investigator and columnist
Vicki Lovegren, election investigator at the precinct level
Linda Byrket, documentary film maker and producer of DVD Video the Vote.

You must register for this FREE Teach-In
since a lunch and teaching materials will be provided. Go to http://freepress.org/e_conf_reg.php

We suggest a donation of $25 per person. This will allow us to put on a comfortable teach-in without charge. If we get many such donations we can step up our educational efforts. If you are interested in donating to the conference but are unable to attend, go to Pay Pal: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

If you'd rather not pay online, please make out a check with the donation of your choice to the Columbus Institute for Contemporary Journalism and send to:

2. I am so excited about the Teach-In.
This is how things get changed! People taking time to make a difference, learn the curve and how to move beyond the corruption. Many talk the talk....but I'd love to see more walk- he walk.

Come join the training!

3. Also Dick Gunther (OSU Prof) and Dave Kolby (AFL-CIO) will discuss
The three Ohio Constitutional Amendments that could help correct Ohio's dysfunctional system. 1. Get the SOS out of partisan politics 2. address ridiculous campaign financing that Ohio recently adopted and 3. address the re-districting nightmare that the republican have put into place. These have been put together by a bi-partisan group interested in meaningful reform. the amendments are well thought out, and polling indicates the public is behind these issues.

Lots of the same group from the December Rally. This is indeed a special group of First Class Activists! I feel privileged to get the opportunity to learn from them.
