2. I can't stand the hypocrisy
Of "Justice Sunday" and Gannon's access.

I really don't care who he was doing -- just let the rest of us do who we want to do and be married to whom we want to be married!

3. I care when a gay hooker has unfettered access to the white house
especially after what they did to Clinton.
I'm sorry but finding out that someone in this administration was being serviced by a gay hooker would be delicious. Nothing would shut them up about "gay agendas" faster.

5. Oh yeah. The under-impressive Dana Milbank. Every time I see him
on camera, I find myself instantly wondering what they have on him. His demeanor is so "reasoned" and "sensible" - I said to my husband while suffering through that simpering toady on Olbermann's show last night that "I wonder how deep inside the White House back pockets this guy is"? He really DOES NOT want to pursue this story. Seriously. Every time he's been on to talk about Gannon-gate, he does everything short of build the guy an armed fortress to kibosh whatever suspicious turns of events are being reported or discussed. If there's something starting to smolder under our friend Gannon, you can bet Dana Milbank will be there with a nice, big, fat, fire hose, ready and willing to douse it out.

6. I guess its up to top DEMs to repeat Conyer's talking points then.
As opposed to the stars that work for the GOP owned media.

Go figure.

Dont hold your breath for that one either.

4. ZERO stories on this in LBN. Did the DEMs give Bush another free pass?
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 09:51 AM by Dr Fate
That remains to be seen- but if the top DEMs decide to leave Conyers twisting in the wind one more time, then we can chalk this up as one more free pass that DEMs gave to Bush.

Here are Conyer's questions. No top DEMs have yet to go on TV and echo these pointed accusations/questions:

1. The Department of Homeland Security's records indicate that Mr. "Gannon" entered the White House Complex 196 times in the past two years. He attended 155 of the 196 press conferences held at the White House in the two year period. This is disconcerting considering that your office and "Mr. Gannon" have maintained that his access was sporadic. At what point is a "hard pass" required?

2. The records show that Mr. "Gannon" was allowed access to the White House 38 times when no public press events occurred. He also spent hours in the White House both before and after press events took place. With whom did he meet on those occasions and what was the subject matter of those meetings?

3. On 13 occasions there is a record where he checked in with security, but is never registered as leaving the White House complex. How do you explain this?

4. Your Media Assistant, Lois Cassano, requested a total of 48 day passes for Mr. "Gannon" which helped facilitate his access for nearly 200 times over the last two years. It is nearly impossible that she would have made Gannon such a priority without direction from a supervisor. Would you like to revise your claim that, "I don't involve myself in that process, it's handled at a staff level."<1>

Sigggh. I guess the "strategists" at the DNC are waiting for the talking heads of the GOP owned media to repeat our talking points for us.

7. There are more questionable dates in April 2003
During those first few months, Gannon was present for almost every White House briefing. But there are two weeks in April where he seems to have missed a bunch -- April 1-2 and again April 14-17.

If he was actually there but not recorded on April 15, it makes me wonder if he was there on those other days as well.
