2. Are You Dissing Edwards???
I happen to be in HIS corner! To me he's VERY viable! Remember what they said about Clinton in the beginning! No experience, not weathered enough, not "in the loop" with Washington. Wouldn't be effective enough to get ANYTHING done!

Well, he got elected 2 TIMES!

Go John Edwards, and I LOVE Elizabeth!

4. I'm unclear on your post's intent.
I'm ready to vote for the same Democratic ticket I voted for in November -- the one that did NOT cheat.

John Edwards might very well wind up as our nominee in 08.

If he does I will work tirelessly for his election.

Someone who is working on his current project on ending poverty in the United States is owed more respect than say, a pseudo-cowboy who can barely talk and entertains his rich friends by bombing the crap out of innocent civilians.

I'd take Edwards any day over a hell of a lot of people.

6. Edwards is a viable candidate
But he needs to keep a fairly high profile or the public will forget him and dismiss him as a has been. He isn't in the Senate anymore, I believe he's teaching some classes, is that right? And has his action committee. All good, needs a little more to keep his name out there.

What I wonder is why no one is mentioning Howard Dean as a possible '08 candidate?

8. Dean said he would not seek the 08 nomination --
-- if he became head of the party.

I for one am thrilled that he is the new Chair. I liked Terry McAuliffe personally but I felt he rounded too many edges.

Dean is a nuts-and-bolts genius. I'm very convinced he will be a history-maker for our party, and I expect he will be a likely contender in future elections. He's a pretty young guy by candidate age standards.

11. Mine too....
..but we have a really long time to get to the '08 primaries, not to mention ducking other DU candidates in the interim.

Just realized how hard that would be....I'll just mosey along, and try to fly under the radar for Edwards, and all the other fine DU candidates thus far, as of 4/25/05, that is !

if we are fortunate enough to have him run again in 2008, I will be right there for him.
