Bush's paper the "Columbus Dispatch," cut out part of "Doonsebury."
The same paper that helped in trying to cover up the theft of Ohio's
election by * & company cut out part of today's Doonesbury strip.
Somehow the first 2 panels in which a media plant by the White House
is referred to as a "White House Stooge," got cut.

I wonder how many other papers did the same thing?

If you want to send a note to the editors @ the Dispatch here you go.

1. Thanks I didn't check today
Both the St. Pete Times and the Tampa Tribune always cut the first two panel. The strip is made for them to cut it. The only place I have ever seen them is online.

3. most newspapers ALWAYS cut the first two panels
in fact, I can't think of any that DO run it; including the NYT and WaPo.
Must just be a nice online extra.

4. This could be just space - not politics
Newspaper often cut the first to panels of a Sunday strip - That way they can fit three strips on a page instead of two - So you'll notice that while the joke in the first two panels is related to the subject - you don't need it to for the strip to make sense.

Bill Watterson - in THE CALVIN AND HOBBES TENTH ANNIVERSARY BOOK talks about this and the problems it gave him when his Sunday strips became more and more visually complex.

5. First two panels of the Sunday edition are optional. Ask the newspaper

to spend the extra money to purchase them and publish them, however.
