Do you know anyone against stem cell research?
Edited on Fri Apr-22-05 12:07 AM by Wabbajack
Anyone? I just realized than even every republican I know (I know lots of them) even the major anti-choicers and the religious ones are for it. Most of them strongly for it. Is there any more than a TINY fringe of people against it?

2. Only my 91 year old Grandmother.
And she's only really against it because George Bush says it required they have to kill babies for it. She won't listen to anyone about it.

5. Probably opening myself up to a major wedgie, but...
Isn't the real issue, not over stem cell research, but who pays for it?

Bush said we won't use Federal money to support this research, but private research wouldn't be stopped?

As long as the message is clear how the stem cells are obtained, and Federal money isn't involved, it's open season, isn't it?

6. Yes and no.
I do not mind the federal government staying out of it as they can just piss away billions without getting anywhere. Instead of sucking money out of the states and seeing how much the bureaucrats can siphon off, I wish they would just leave the money in the states.

I have no problem with stem cell research on the whole, I just have grown to hate that giant sucking sound coming from Warshington and the laughing from the politicians at how stupid "We The People" really are.

7. Me 2
I think my old priest is for stem cell research. We had a petition after church one day from our archbishop (probably and edict from Rome) about how it is an attack on life. After the mass, the priest said if u don't agree u don't have to sign it. He never said that about abortion, death penalty etc.
