I get the gist anyway. On the one hand, people in this country don't realize how bad people have it around the world because they don't see it on the news every day, on the other hand, they don't see how bad people have it in THIS country, because they don't see it on the news every day.

There are people in the US living in faustian piles of trash and pollution. I have to keep reminding myself of that, living in one of the wealthier states.

It's really frustrating dealing with some of my upper middle class relatives and their bigoted attitudes. They don't read much, so they basically swallow what is fed to them on the national news and on the radio. They think they are doing enough cross referencing, because all the freakin talk radio stations spew the same bigoted garbage.

Sorry, just had to vent. Haven't posted in a while:)
