I hope Delay sticks around and is not booted from his position in

Congress. Let's face it, if he does lose his position, he will be replaced by another ultra conservative Republican, different cover, same book. At least with Delay, we know the enemy well, and he has such a wonderful tendency to bring disfavor upon the Repukes. He now has such a bad reputation, he is repelling moderate Republicans from the party. I say, let's keep things this way and milk Delay's unpleasant qualities for all they're worth.

1. I disagree..it's way past time to take out the trash.
If DeLay goes out, there are a number of trash bags that will go in the dumpster with him. Congress is so full of trash now that it's stinking to high heaven, and summer is coming on.

2. I can appreciate that from another perspective:
As much as he’s thumbed his nose at the law under the higher scrutiny of his unique position in the House, I have to wonder how much farther he will go under the guise of a private citizen. He must not be simply removed from his position. He must be prosecuted and contained to the fullest extent of the law. Well, at least before he has that extent changed in his favor.

3. I totally agree...DeLay is the Perfect 2006 Repug Poster Child

We need to keep taking him down...all the while knowing he has too big an ego to let go...hence, play his game and drag down the rest of the Repiglican Party with him.

If we get rid of him now, we will lose his seat in 2006 as well as have a new person to have to bring down or deal with. Reptiles like DeLay take a few years to show their colors and we should think instead of getting rid of him through having him getting trounced in his election. If he resigns, then new "fresh blood" would get elected in his seat. The Repigs would play the "fresh start" mantra for the candidate as a likely win.

If Hot Tub Tommy stays. he will lose as well as can have his defeat be used politically to show that people are tired of Repigs.

It is to our advantage to have DeLay continue to overreach and thus expose himself and the Chimpy Machine. The only way we get rid of DeLay is in 2006...when he loses the election.
