US-Israeli strike on Iran within 24 hours

Please get this message out to the world. I strongly disagree with what our CiC is about to do.

Iran´s government and military centers will be attacked by Israel within the next 24 hours (Friday morning at the latest), with US carriers providing ancillary support.

I have seen the signed orders. I´m an adjutant with Naval Intelligence and I´m not the only one opposed to this illegal strike.

Please get this message out to everyone you know in the media and alternative media. E-mail it to your congressman and the UN.

Our men and women in the Gulf will be sitting ducks and the Russians and Chinese will respond, with all the potentially horrific consequences that entails.

Godspeed!

4. It's not quite noon yet
I'm 99% certain this is crap, but I won't feel completely better until 3:01 PM EDT.

5. Attack won't be in daylight - that's counter to all US doctrine
Preliminary bombing strikes are conducted under cover of darkness. With Iran having decent air defense, we most certainly wouldn't deviate.

I am also pretty skeptical of this...pretty. Except, I'm a bit uneasy over that drop in the Dow today, combined with this random post, and that it occurred to me that if this IS it, heh, Bush & Co. waited until they'd managed to railroad Anwar, and bankruptcy through Congress, then made their move by Tax Day, Just a combination of events and ideas that are making me a tad nervous.

Glad to know others aren't having heart-attacks over this "development."

12. One thing's certain: It won't be during Sweeps Week
Unless, of course, Fox is doing really poorly in the ratings.

And I guarantee you 100% that the war will not conflict with the final episode of 24.

10. Maybe it's a honey trap for bloggers

Maybe it was posted in hopes that left-wing bloggers would run with it and make fools of themselves, a la Dan Rather.

On the other hand, President Mightymouse's rating ARE at their lowest...

11. How to be the most prescient blogger using an old scam trick
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 01:50 PM by IanDB1
1) Create a whole bunch of different disposable email accounts.

2) For a couple weeks, use each of those accounts to post frequently on a handful of blogs that are well-read.

3) Each day, choose one of those accounts to proclaim, "The war in Iran will start tomorrow," on a bunch of blogs.

4) When the account that makes the "prediction" is wrong, retire that screen name after using it to post for a couple more days.

5) Use one of your other screen names to make a "prediction" that the war in Iran will start tomorrow.

Do this with a different screen name every day, and eventually, one of your screen names will be correct, and (hopefully) nobody will know that all those other screen names that were wrong all belong to the same person.

If you're lazy, just use the same screen name on a different blog every day. Then, when you're finally correct, you point everyone to your "prediction" on the blog where you finally got it right.

I've based this idea upon the infamous "Stock-Picking Newsletter Scam."

13. Why would an adjutant see something like this???
Iran will be attacked -- I doubt it will be attacked by Israel, but more likely the US will execute a limited attack on Iran's nuclear facilities and Israel will be one of the targets or Iran's response. Then Israel will get involved and all hell will break loose -- that's my take on how it will go down.

But there's no way it'll happen that soon or that suddenly. First there has to be a drumbeat, etc.

And even if I DID think it'll happen tomorrow, some internet posting by a dude claiming to have seen super-top-secret papers wouldn't confirm it for me.

14. Yeah, I know how ridiculous it looks, and yes, I know
it's probably less than nothing but it's still succeeding at freaking me out a little. In addition to continued badness on the stock market, there have been an unusually high number of patrol cars on our streets today (I live in a mid-sized state capital) which, for the middle of April, is strange. I know, getting worked up about this is stupid, but I confess to being on edge.

15. Pay attention to "insiders," have car accident. Lesson learned.
None of your are the stupid, "insiders," "Military Dissenter" is. Needless to post, pointless worrying about unconfirmed rumors can distract you from your daily responsibilities. I hate everything.

16. WTF?
I thought that war wasn't starting for another couple of months! I heard June, not April 15th. April 15th is the tax deadline. I don't think anything wants to get in the way of that. BushCo wants to remind us of what an awful day "tax" day is. Don't need no war obscuring a perfectly good day of reminder to the GOP about all that they hate about America--Taxes.
