Hahaha! I guess they're turning on DeLay like a pack of wolves now.

I love it when they eat their own.

Santorum: DeLay Needs to Answer Questions

By LOU KESTEN : Associated Press Writer
Apr 10, 2005 : 2:46 pm ET

WASHINGTON -- The No. 3 Republican in the Senate said Sunday that embattled House Majority Leader Tom DeLay needs to answer questions about his ethics and "let the people then judge for themselves."

Sen. Rick Santorum's comments seem to reflect the nervousness among congressional Republicans about the fallout from the increased scrutiny into DeLay's way of doing business. One of DeLay's GOP colleagues in the House called him an "absolute embarrassment" and doubted DeLay would last as majority leader.

How soon they begin to eat their own. Democrats are rotten to the core but at least they know how to be loyal.

8. I know. Look at some of the responses.

I think its time to hang DeLay out to dry. Otherwise The Hammer's just going to stay in the news, stinking to heaven and hurting Republicans. Loyalty is well and good, but winning elections is more important. He's becoming an embarassment and a liability.

"Looks like DeLay's wife and daughter were on the take to the tune of half a million dollars.
Spin that, Big Stupid Republican Government Republicans."

4. DeLay would do the same thing to any other Repub. None
of them can be trusted. But this might backfire on his "buddies" as I think if anyone in DC knows where all the bodies are buried it is Tom DeLay. He might be so angry he would blow the whistle on the whole bunch including the WH. Now that is something I would pay to see happen.

6. Yes, I am hoping this ignites a free-for-all brawl
because DeLay won't take Santorum's finger-wagging very well, I'd venture to guess.

10. Point Of Order...
Dumb-Santorum is #3 in the Senate.
That means Frist and #2 Senate man O-K-d Santorum's remarks.
And that means WH O-K'd Santorum's remarks, as well.

12. DeLay is being separated from the Wolf Pack
He is a wounded and damaged beast about to be left behind to fend for himself.

Some believe it is best he be left in the GOP caucus but I believe his downfall will shatter GOP morale in DC.

13. Santorum is up for reelection
and is not doing well in the polls. Worst thing he can do is align himself with DeLay right now. The man is scum just like DeLay, and his own ass comes first.

14. He didn't say that
If you read the article it states that Santorum thinks Delay has done nothing wrong.
The bit about his not lasting is attributed to another (nameless) colleague.
