Another Republican Falls from Grace
7 April 2005

We’ve seen some dips in approval ratings in recent days for Bush and DeLay. Add another to the list… as the Governator falls from grace. It seems that the public is getting wise to the Republican’s “staged events” and pandering to the corporate and special interests.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is showing himself to be an ordinary mortal after all with a significant policy retreat on Thursday and a new poll showing his approval rating down sharply.

Swept into office in an unprecedented recall election in 2003, the Republican's approval rating fell to 43 percent from 59 percent in January, according to a Survey and Policy Research Institute poll released on Thursday.

1. San Diegans--come protest Arnold Mon. 12pm at
La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla!

This may be San Diego's biggest protest rally yet. If you know any progressive groups or individuals in Southern California, please notify them of this event.

19. April 11th, Monday at noon.
Get there early-- parking will be a bear. They're suggesting parking at the LJ shores beach parking lot; rides to the hotel will be provided. Carpool if you can.

See you there!

2. They are in my neck of the words.
Oh sure. They're are a few stragglers, full of the most narrowest of mindless rhetoric, but more and more Bushie voters are past fed-up with this adm. It's unbelieveable, and from all walks of life.

If the vote occurred tomorrow, Kerry would be in by a landslide.

20. This is what happens to "ratings" when people aren't really ELECTED
by the majority, but elected instead by computerized voting machines.

All of the Diebold machines were in place for the recall election, when the gropernator won. Then, after that election, Sec. of State Kevin Shelley shut down Diebold, for the 2004 presidential election, which is why Kerry won California.

So, the repukes got rid of Shelley on some trumped up corruption charges, and replaced him with a new SoS, who is going to put Diebold right back in.

People are NOT getting the benefit of the leaders they've elected. They're being ruled by the MINORITY, who can only STEAL elections, not win them.

:kick:

7. Thats "WWE," and no, they know a rigged game when they see it!
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 01:17 AM by autorank
Arnold's pure script. As a matter of fact, he wouldn't last long in WWE because he'd actually have to move and act instead of "pose."

This 43% approval number is just amazing. He drops from 59% + to 43%+ in months -- that's a 28% or so nose dive.

Who knows, maybe Arnold's next gig will be WWE or perhaps a new role as "the geek" on Carnavale!

Way to go nurses, teachers, safety workers, and other CA Democrats!

ON EDIT: carnie sf, WELCOME TO DU!!!

6. He's not infallible, or invincible, as this photo clearly shows

Perhaps this image may serve as motivation to those who might contemplate protesting against this steroid laced paper tiger! (Hat tip to Wonkette).

8. MADEM, you are brutal! I was about to go to bed, not I have to throw up.
Why didn't they put up billboards with this on it..."Here's your body, Here's your body on steroids!" Wow, Maria must be the envy of all her friends.

9. The russet head hair and the white boob hair are quite striking, nu?
Talk about collars and cuffs not matching! And I won't even go into his "physique." President's Council on Physical Fitness? More like President's Council on cheesecake and whiskey! Have another cigar, fat boy!

I regret my disruption of your digestive system...but it was important. I hope you will forgive me ... Think of the CHILDREN who must be warned!!!!

10. Hey, no hard feelings. I feel much better now...

Jeez, this character looks in better shape than Arnold. I remember seeing his first film, "Stay Hungry" or something like that. He smoked weed and was clearly taking steroids. I bet he's into the chronic daily and sill juicing...paranoid and out of control...a great role model!

But which was pumped with partisan steroids last November? Exit polls or the evangelical idiots?
