1. Tom could be an asset for Democrats.
He just cannot seem to keep himself out of trouble. He even apparently shocked Cheney to me is incredible.

2. I am enjoying this immensely
Watching him hang himself has been quite entertaining. Especially after a week of bad news.

3. love to see other repubs voice their "strong support" for their leader
They are hanging themselves, too. Leave him in a little longer.

It does seem that Rove has opened the flood gates on Delay. Rove obviously sees the drag on the party and will move the press toward hanging Delay sooner rather than later.

4. First, pull his wings off.
Keep him away from his favorite food: turds and carrion. He's a follower of Baelzebub ("lord of the flies").

5. I'd prefer to see him led out from the Capitol in handcuffs...

6. DeLay is a useful tool.
Keep him around. After this scandal really takes off he's going to be greatly impaired as House Majority Leader. The last thing we want is DeLay gone so that Bush can find someone who will rubberstamp every little piece of legislation he sends his way. DeLay at the very least gives them some trouble and resistance.

I made a thread about how DeLay should be dealt with:

7. Call for his resignation
But we won't get him to resign. We get on the record as 100% against his corruption. They defend him. And he doesn't resign.

8. I'd like to see him stay around through the 2006 elections
That way some of his slime might rub off on some of the other GOP members that have ties to him. I want this man to be the undoing of the GOP control of the government.

9. He is setting himself up as a target...
and the Rethugs will pull the trigger on him after they vigorously defend him.
