Who said this ??
"prior to invading Iraq, looking for weapons of mass destruction, this administration looked the other way at illegal shipments of Iraqi oil to Jordan, Syria and Turkey, which earned at least $8.5 billion for Saddam Hussein's regime. Now the administration cannot account for an additional $9 billion from Iraqi oil proceeds which was supposed to go to help the Iraqi people.

"While Congress busies itself about how $2 billion was illegally diverted to Saddam from the U.N.'s Oil-For-Food Program, it would also be instructive to find out why it was apparently administration policy to let Saddam Hussein earn four times that amount through illegal oil shipments."

NO GOOGLING PLEASE and if you know the answer, please don't guess ... this is for guessers only ...

6. i know but im not gonna tell
i cheated... but everyone try to guess...

it really sickens me this administration would allow such activities to happen, and yet go into war, for the very stuff they allowed (and probably supported at the time)

I dont know about everyone else at DU, but I am very fed up with our government right now. Look how long we've had saddam, yet not one court trial has been set. The news media hasn't even did stories about saddam after his capture....so it all appears to me, this administration is just trying to push this to the side, hoping americans will forget we had captured saddam, and will not demand the government to persue the charges... I am willing to bet if the courts were to set a trial, and demand all evidence be turn over to be reviewed, the lies of this administration will show up. However, i think it will be in time when the administartion may fabricate falsious documents about nucluear attacks/plans against the US and tieing it to saddam one way or another..

So i think at this point Americans should start demanding our government to start the trial process of Saddam. Doing so will revieal all evidence pertaining to this war, and the "claims" leading up to the war, and post war actions. And within time, the courts will discover this administration has been lying ever since and will proceed an impeachment process of the entire bush administration.
