"Your voice heard in front of the Supreme Court
We just returned from a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court where Democratic Senators received more than 1 million signatures from activists supporting them in the fight against the Senate Republican power grab.

Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) spoke out about the importance of dissent in maintaining a strong democracy, asking where America would be now if we had silenced the abolitionists and those who fought against segregation.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) held up his copy of the Constitution as he told us how Republicans in the Senate want to destroy the filibuster so that the Senate is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the President.

Also at the event were Senators Jeffords (I-VT), Kennedy (D-MA), Lieberman (D-CT), and Stabenow (D-MI). Here are a few pictures from the rally; we'll have more soon!"

7. That is the coolest picture of Reid I've ever seen

Although I'm sure he would rather be the majority leader, I think he really enjoys leading of one of the most important opposition movements in history.

3. I hope this cancelling of the
"filibuster" goes down in flames!

That's a great pic of Reid and Lewis!

The repukes in Congress are nothing more than scared little rats who can't get their extreme issues across the Constitutional way so they have to resort to cheating.

When will the insanity of "1984" end?

5. One of our sons has now turned completely against Republicans.
He was always Republican, but this week-end when he was home he was furious. He said are we there yet? I said where, he said 1984. It took a lot of rants on our part, but he sees the light now. One son is still not there yet, but since he is defense industry I will try to understand. Divisive issue indeed. Our daughters are very liberal, never had to tell them. They caught on to the Bush craziness right away.

I'm so happy for one of your son's is seeing the light..that is no small feat in this "1984" atmosphere.

I'm hoping your other son will eventually come around, too..if he only knew what a bright shining light his Mom is for Democracy! :)

13. Wow nice
My mother is a registered republican and I fill her in on all the news and scandals etc. and earlier this week she told me when we vote in 2006 she's going to vote straight democratic. :D I was surprised since she likes our Congressman. I told her how he voted for the Schavio nonsense and I don't think she liked that very much. My brother is anti-Bush but I'm not sure if he considers himself anything. So technically in our house my dad is the only one left but I've gotten him to watch the Daily show, so who knows?

It makes them seem more important.
