There hasn't been any talk about 2008 in this thread until you brought it up. As to his interview, C-Span is promoting it as a conversating about the Patriot Act

4. Nothing to do with 2008 - I like to be up to speed on my senator.

He has good ideas and I want to know what he is up to. As far as 2008 - it pays to be aware of political happenings in years that don't have presidential elections as well. I don't just tune in to politics and world events once every four years.
