1. Something about him leaving Library of Congress
with some "classified" documents I think. He was trying to get info that general public was not being allowed to see. I remember this from 2002.

2. Actually he agreed to plead guilty
to one count of mishandling classified info---a misdemeanor--so the investigation ends here. and he is not charged with a felony

4. That was from when he was examining his own records
Berger, as you all may recall, was National Security Advisor to the last president, and was called before the Senate to testify in the investigation into terrorism and why it's so darned pernicious. Berger was "caught" leaving the room where his confidential notes were stored with a sheaf of his own notes and documents. There were some wild stories about him stuffing the papers in his socks and down his pants, but it was never proved. Berger's explanation was that he absent-mindedly scooped up some of the documents (as he would have ordinarily done during his days as NSA) when it came time to go. The Republicans have succeeded in making a federal case out of this, and Berger, an honorable man, has chosen to plead guilty.

Osama bin Laden continues on the loose, but Berger has been nailed, baby! The Republic can once again rest easy, knowing that George W. Bush and his darn good intelligence apparatus are on the job.
