The Ann Coulter Incident
Yesterday on Kieth Olbermann's show Olbermann mentioned that Coulter asked College Republicans to remove anyone who booed her or she would stop her speech. Unfiltered also mentioned it this morning. People should have booed her and then beat the College Republicans when they came to remove them.

1. Nah. Not beat them.
Just give them wedgies or something utterly humiliating like that.

3. My question is, why bother having Ann Coulter speak to your group?
She shows up everywhere, never has more than thirty seconds of material, doesn't know much about anything, and is basically a walking sneer.

I mean, why pay for that? You can get if for free, from her and others, on basic cable 24/7

24. It is illegal - I KNOW
I once went into a dog grooming place that was leaving a large parrot in their store front all night with bright lights shining on it. This is inhumane. I told them I was going to report them to Animal Services if they didn't stop. They called animal services and said I told them I said I was one of their, "officers" and made up a bunch of other stuff also.

Well I got a call from Animal Services informing me that I was in big trouble. I fought back but I had to write a letter to the head honcho saying I was not trying to impersonate an animal "officer".

They were more concerned with ME than with the bird! I had to remind the little shits that the bird was still in the window with the bright light on after the whole thing ended.

What a bunch of dingbats!

But the answer is: YES

5. I Have Never Understood
the need to remove someone who disagrees with your opinions. To me thats the ultimate definition of sheeple and grandstanding. If you don't have the fortitude to stand up for what you believe in front of others...whats the point in expressing yourself in the first place? Ann Coulter went from a media circus attraction to a media drama queen in 2.5 seconds. Apparently no one else noticed on the conservative side.

alone). The people who disagree with what she said during her Jerry Springer show were getting in the way of her money. She is an evil woman who will destroy anyone who tries to stand between her and her money.

Who knows if she *really* believes anything she says. She doesn't even try to debate her points, probably because she knows they don't stand up in debates. She is getting very wealthy off of these suckers.

28. You've made a valid point...
I listened to the Coulter Chaos at the University of Kansas and detected something strange: Coulter kept saying something to the effect that if this (heckling) didn't stop, the speech was over. I thought this was a pretty chicken-shit way of handling disruptors, since disruptors would have the most to gain from this threat, but then realized perhaps she was talking to the organizers of the appearance--the ones who were paying her. It sounded like she was threatening them as if to say, "If you don't bring this under control, I'm outta here and I expect to receive my full fee even though I had to leave early.

8. A good portion of the audience left when the hecklers were removed.
I think there were a lot of curious people in attendence, and not as many hardcore Ann supporters as she was hoping for. Really, her style is so unpleasant that it invites heckling.

11. Here's an account from someone who was there:
It's a good story, although he omits the famous question from the audience that made Annie so mad. ("Which is bigger, your Adam's apple or your dick?" Yes, I know, it's not funny. :spray: )

12. Here's an excerpt
http://www.ljworld.com/story200443.html

Coulter received several standing ovations during her speech, but she also found herself interrupted several times by a small, scattered group of hecklers.

"I think there are some people in the audience who meant to be at the sexual reorientation class down the hall," Coulter said, in response to the heckling.

Moments later Coulter stopped and called for assistance from students when hecklers started in again and no one of authority was seen trying to stop them.

"Could 10 of the largest College Republicans start walking up and down the aisles and start removing anyone shouting?" Coulter asked. "Otherwise, this lecture is over."

Is she inciting violence here? I would LOVE to see her prosecuted on some of the heinous things she says.

27. Isn't this incitement to violence?
If someone stands up in public and asks citizens to physically assault other citizens, for any reason (let alone the high crime of disagreeing with an attention-seeking halfwit), aren't they basically trying to start a riot?

29. BTW does anybody know WHY Brian Lamb of C-SPAN
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 10:24 AM by ElectroPrincess
*without fail* quotes that nasty, half-wit's on line publication: "The Drude Report?"

Sorry to swear in your presence and do NOT bother visiting that right wing propagandistic site.

Tell me please, if anyone knows, is Brian Lamb getting compensation for mentioning "The Drudge Report" EVERY DAMN TIME HE'S ON-AIR?

On Edit: I bring the above topic up because that's how it was introduced (Lamb quoting "The Drudge Report") on today's Washington Journal on CSPAN.
