4. The failure of intelligence

was in the WH and the DOD. The Intel was right, Bush and Rummie are the ones who interpreted it to mean that Saddam was an imminent threat that had to be dealt with immediately. They are the ones who politicized the Intel to make their case for war.

Hell, you haven't heard that from any commission--including the 9/11 Commission.

There are few who have come forward to put the onus on Bush--the most effective being Richard Clarke. Tragically, that was still not enough for the press or the sheeple to get it--how Bush failed the American people when he chose to ignore the PDB titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." while focusing his attention on the "threat" posed by Saddam Hussein.

Any Democratic president would have been impeached by a Republican controlled Congress for such dereliction of duty as President and commander-in-chief. Our nation deserves better.

8. Bush and Rummie are the ones

What did Iraq ever do to harm America? She allowed us to screw with her... that's what she did, which enabled us to play dirty pool and do more of what we are so famous for.... the false support, the double cross, (arming Iraq and Iran against each other) and the extreme hardships placed upon her people for over 15 years now... aren't we so very very nice.

7. Bush Doctrine....the blame should start there

While a determined effort is being made to point fingers at intelligence agencies, let's not forget two things:

The pentagon, under Rumsfeld, had its own intelligence effort. Who should take the blame for that?

The radical Bush Doctrine requires perfect intelligence gathering to be considered reasonable. Why are we focusing on bad intelligence when it is well known that intelligence is an inaccurate art? THE BLAME SHOULD FALL SQUARELY ON THE BUSH DOCTRINE, WHICH TAKES BAD INFORMATION AND TURNS IT INTO WAR!!

The blame should fall on past administrations that armed, aided and abetted a regime even after it showed itself to be criminal in nature. Any court would take that case.... but none are stepping up.
