The one-sentence ruling came hours after the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals resoundingly declined to intervene in the case. Justices did not explain their decision and there was no indication how they voted.

The Supreme Court's decision, on Schiavo's 13th day without food or water, was the latest in a string of losses in state and federal courts for her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, and the second time in a week the high court rejected the parents' claims....

9. They're desperate
They don't understand anything except their reason for living is on her way out, leaving them with nothing.

I feel sorry for her family.

I have nothing but lip curling, sneering, spitting contempt for the hucksters, wack jobs, liars, politicians, and assorted piss poor examples of the worst the GOP has to offer who are exploiting this for their own gain.

May Karma be swift and sure.

5. Damn those liberal, activist judges
someone needs to do something about those liberal, activist judges on the US Supreme Court. How dare they ignore the will of Congress.

11. And how dare Congress/W flip the bird to the will of the people
Americans do not want government interference of private family matters. We don't "need" their governance, thank you. Government needs to stay the hell out of personal family matters.

Thank God 24 courts said to the far right wingers that it is wrong for government to interfere in family matters. Thank God for the judges.

13. lol
I think we could probably carry the "How dare they..." for a long time. But, I do find it interesting how quickly conservative judges, became liberal activist judges in the world of the freak republicans.

15. How many times can they ask the SC to intervene??
I can just imagine all the cases waiting to be heard yet about every 5th day or so they have to stop and listen to arguments once again. I always thought once the SC ruled that was it,your done,no more courts.

Funny, thats the way it was in 2000 when they annointed Bush to office.
