Bush approval rating plummets to 43% in Wisconsin
A Badger Poll conducted between March 8-16 of 501 state residents shows President Bush's approval rating falling to 43% in the Badger case, and this is even before the fall-out from the Schiavo controversy.

55% of statewide residents disapprove of Bush's performance as president.

Just 39% believe that Bush's handling of the Iraq situation was excellent or good. 58% said it was fair or poor.

Bush's overall rating on foreign policy is even worse--37% rate it excellent or good and 60% rate it fair or poor.

When it comes to "problems at home" just 33% rate Bush's performance positively while 66% give it a negative rating.

On the economy Bush has a 31-68 approval/disapproval rating.

One respondent to the poll, 86 year old Ed Vietti of La Crosse is quoted, "I don't support any war where kids get killed so big shots can make millions. That's all any war is, is money. I've seen a lot of this stuff come and go...Big businesses don't give money away. When they give someone a lump sum of money for election, they want a favor in return. They start a war so there's government contracts. Who gets the government contracts? They do."

Hard to believe that Bush only narrowly lost Wisconsin just a few months ago.

3. That's what I worry about

Plus they're still wanting to go to Iran aren't they? And Venezuela? The military isn't having any new members join and people aren't for the Iraq war much anymore. Plus nothing is happening for Bush like he wants. SS, judges, Schavio and his ratings are really down. What was his rating when 9/11 happened?

4. He is going to go down to the twenties in due time!
:bounce:

Maybe it is good in the long run that bush defrauded the nation a second time. After this, the republicans will never win another election again!

9. Heads up folks!
:scared:

If another terrorist act materializes here in the USA, we'll know for sure whether the first 9/11 was MIHOP/LIHOP.

11. I don't think another
attack could help bush's popularity now. What about all those people who voted for him because there hadn't been another attack since 9/11? They believed that bush had kept them safe. If there is another attack, what choice will these people have but to see bush for the liar that he is.

12. Considering that old man lived through WWII
and likely fought in it, that's quite a condemnation of war.
