Hillary Clinton vs. Jeb Bush 2008 poll
I apologise if this has already been posted, but I certainly thought it was... interesting. ;)

"I know it is far ahead, but thinking about the 2008 election for president, if the election for president were held today and the candidates were Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush, for whom would you vote: Democrat Hillary Clinton or Republican Jeb Bush?"

Jeb - 47%
Hillary - 50%

(Democracy Corps Poll conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research (D). March 15-21, 2005. N=501 likely voters nationwide.)

Granted, by a Democratic pollster, but it may not be so far off the mark.

4. Well if thats the case...
then it'll be the first time i've agreed with a Bush. Even IF elections were legit she still doesn't have a chance.

5. Hillary enabled the war...BAD JUDGMENT RULES HER OUT!
She's also looking a bit Liebermanish and pandering to the locals in NY.

When the Iraq fiasco implodes, i.e., we've to a a pro Iranian Shia government telling us to leave, anyone who enabled the war by voting for the war resolution will be disqualified.

That leaves Clark, Dean, and any new comers who stood tall and voted against this our most terrible mistake.

Sorry, Hillary has no foresight or judgment, she's a loser, and she WILL NOT BE OUR NOMINEE.

6. America needs to heal & have a fresh start: NO CLINTON or BUSH in '08!!
I'm serious....as much as I loved the big dawg and the Clinton years, I don't want to see either a Clinton or a Bush on that '08 ticket...

If so, I'll vote with the Green Party....Repukes and the Bush Cabal already have it rigged anyway for Brother Jeb....

7. I'm with you 100%.....No one named Bush, Dole or Clinton on the 2008
tickets. We aren't a freaking monarchy, and I'd really like to see some fresh blood put forward.

No one admires Bill Clinton than I, and I even like Hillary more than most here, but I don't want to see her run in 2008.

20. Free American from the Banana Republic ruling cabal.
It is time for invigorating new leadership with fresh ideas. Hillary and the Florida dough boy are both corporate controlled sycophants.

12. It isn't going to happen.
However, it is interesting that this hypothetical poll shows, again, an almost 50/50 split. Much like with Kerry. We can't afford those kinds of odds again.

The democratic party needs a uniter in 08', not a divider.

13. I don't see Jeb running in '08
Oh he'll run for sure, but he'll give it some time. I heard he wants to make some $$$ and plus I don't think they'd be so audacious to believe a Bush would win 3 times in a row.

Granted, you'd think this country'd be smarter than to vote for Dumbya after his father...so who the hell knows.

14. This poll was taken BEFORE Jeb got so radical in Florida.
Before he ordered the State Police to kidnap Terri Shiavo from the hospice.

I think there are enough Americans pissed of at ANY Bush now, that Jeb wouldn't even be able to get the Party nomination.

18. Everyone here is so sure of their predictions ...
I find it amusing. Let's see how it plays out. If you like Hillary and want to support her, fine. If you do not, fine. Myself, I suspect that after her 8 years in the White House during Bill's administration, the gig doesn't look that good to her. But time will tell.

If she runs, she will be formidable, both in the primaries and the general.

19. Need some new blood !!!
Iam hoping like Bill Clinton did, some young currently unknown politician with that certain something that inspires people will come along. The news media is so differant now ,that anyone with any kind of baggage from their past ,will top the news over our young men & women, being killed daily in a un-needed war. I just heard today over 4,000 of or guys been disabled in Iraq war, behind this # is someones son, daughter, father, mother, sisiter or brother. Who's life will never be the same ,then think of how many lives have forever been changed by the dead and still dying. How people can support this war and bush is beyond me. Attacking he wrong enemy ,for the 9/11 attack . What the heck is going on ? How can we go from one of the brightest Presidents ,to the stupidest ,is beyond me !
Take Care Nick
