Terry Moran moves to the dark side

Say it isn't so!

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/features/20050321-9999-1c21press.html

But Terry Moran, White House correspondent since 1999 for ABC News, ridiculed Boehlert's contention .

"The White House is not waging war on the press any more than the Democratic National Committee or MoveOn.org are," said Moran in an e-mail interview.

"All these institutions now employ the black arts of public-relations newspeak, factual misrepresentation and take-no-prisoners rhetoric to advance their causes."

Moran said Gannon/Guckert is a right-wing version of Russell Mokhiber, a former Nader operative who gets daily passes to White House briefings and asks outrageous questions slanted from the left.

4. Eh, just because someone disagrees but might have a point
doesn't mean he's migrated to the dark side.

5. Why you think he is right?
ABC is constantly on the WH side.

11. Might have a point
It sounded worth thinking about, even if ultimately discarded.

I would like to know more about who is allowed into the press conferences. However, this person's pov does break down when you realize it was likely the WH who put JimmyJeff in there, as opposed to some Lefty or Righty publication. He was a plant just like the paid pundits like Armstrong and such.

9. Terry knows what side of his bread is buttered.
When you get to that level, you don't ask tough questions....not when your boss's fortune is tied so tightly to a Republican economy. Ihe difficult part is figuring how to avoid asking the tough questions, yet appear earnest in seeking the truth. That's no easy task with this administration....

10. Oh, the knee-jerk whining about Helen and Russell.
Every time someone brings up Bush administration's twin obsessions with secrecy and cultivating sycophants, some sourpuss gets bent out of shape over Rusell Mokhiber and Helen Thomas. Thomas's considerable credentials are always ignored, and equating Mokhiber with Gannon, Guckert, or whoever he's decided he is today is patently ridiculous.

12. Oh Please...
ABC is NOT THAT bad! Remeber that ABC got the "Terry Memo" first and passed it on to the WP which passed it on to the Seattle Times. Jennings also did a story last month or Jan in which cable companies that provide porn ALSO contribute to ppl like Santorum. Koppel discredited Swift Boats on Nightline. Stehponopolus has butted heads w/ Frist and others. George Will and Fareed are always good on his show. And w/ Iger comming in w/ ALMOST the same backround as Eisner (Jewish, New York, etc etc) I see ABC News becoming EITHER 1) More Moderate or 2) More Liberal.
