CNN US edition v. CNN International edition-- on today's war protests
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 01:03 AM by TexasLawyer
Compare the CNN sites-- one is the US edition, and the other is the "International CNN" web page. Here's the lead story for the US edition:

http://www.cnn.com/

House to consider bill to 'save Terri'

The House of Representatives will meet in a special session Sunday to consider a compromise bill that House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said could "save Terri Schiavo."

FULL STORY

Meanwhile, here's the International CNN lead article. Why aren't the protests featured on our own US CNN site? We're stuck with the weeks old, tired drama of Terry Schiavo. It's really unbelievable.

Protesters mark Iraq anniversary

Anti-war activists have marched in the streets of U.S. cities large and small, stopping traffic and lying down alongside flag-draped cardboard coffins to mark the second anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.

FULL STORY

• Bush: Toppling Saddam inspired democracy
• Anti-war protests in Europe
• Violence marks second year

And there are links to pictures of protests going on across the US. Here's one in Houston (I was there, too)

1. yeah, and when the Schiavo dust settles, there's always...
...Michael Jackson and STEROIDS IN BASEBALL.

I don't know which is more useless, the U.S. press or the U.S. Congress.

7. My Setiments to a TEE!
It's time all of us RELEASE our fears, and start standing-up again! I'm guilty of such, but no more! Proud of all of you. It's the most Patriotic thing to do when we've been screwed beyond belief and there's no end to it!

4. Because you guys have to drink the Kool-Aid? Because CNN
wants you to bond with the pro-life groups who are only pro-life so long as it does not involve teaching kids about STDs that can kill them.

6. I swear CNN International is run by different people....
...or maybe Rove's henchmen don't control that network because they know no Americans watch it.

11. My relatives is in the UK say that CNN International is still top quality
Only in the US have we descended into the decadent realm of infotainment.

Maybe the real journalists go to CNN International instead of the style over substance hacks we have here stateside.
