Question to CNN International Viewers:Do they usually show Sports so much?
Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 10:53 PM by Up2Late
Or is this just CNN Internationals way to avoid showing the 2nd Anniversary Iraq War Protests?

To ALL those who participated in Iraq War Protests today, ALL of the Cable News Networks almost completely avoided showing ALL of the Protest in the U.S. and only showed VERY short clips of the Protests in Europe.

Here's the rundown of the Iraq War Protests NON-Coverage today, when I tuned in at 3:00pm EST:
(Listed in the order they appear on my cable system)

CSPAN - Repeated programing from last week

CSPAN2 - Showed the usual "BookTV" Programing they always show

CNN - Showed Bogus Interview Shows

CNN/Headline News - Showed a teaser at the top and bottom of the hour (10-15 seconds long), if they showed the protests, I didn't see it because it was so short

CNBC - Showed Infomercials

Fox "News" - Showed bogus interview show with some Blond "Ann Colter" clone

MSNBC - Show some BS show, I don't remember the name, but it was basically a "Best Of the MSM, Hype Created, Murdered celebrities" (Peterson Case, etc.)

NOTE: MSNBC also ran a LOT of what should only be a Local Florida Story (a young Girl, found dead after a week missing, interview weeping Redneck Dad, Story)

CNN International - When they were NOT showing, what seems like a LOT more Sports than usual, showed about a 2-3 minute story on the Iraq War Protests in England, Italy, Greece and Turkey. They are showing about 30 seconds of the New York and London protests in their Top of the hour Headlines.

On the RADIO: NPR DID report the Iraq War protests in North Carolina and "Several others protests around the U.S." All day on the Top of the Hour News Headlines.

No mention on Weekend Addition Saturday or Weekend All Things Considered.

Sorry, I guess we all knew the priorities of the MSM already.

2. No, it must have been dropped by you Cable Co.
I get it on Comcast Digital Cable. They show it all over the World instead of Regular CNN.

I think you are thinking of CNNfn (Financial Network):hippie:

3. UPDATE: CNN International just mentioned Iraq War Protests in JAPAN
Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 11:22 PM by Up2Late
It was very quick, mixed in with another N.Y and London mention, but it was followed by a about a 5-6 Minute piece from the Iraqi perspective of the situation.

They interviewed an Iraqi Poet in a Baghdad Coffee Shop, and a Kurdish Businessman in one of the Northern cities.

4. We don't get CNNfn or international on cable or satellite anymore.
I know it is off cable, and the channel slot is still empty.

I just checked Dish Network, it used to be 206, nothing there now.

5. I think CNNfn is History now
But "Comcast Digital Cable" still has CNN International. It's a LOT better than regular CNN, but I still wish I had a 24 Hour BBC News instead. :evilfrown:
