Hasn't Dino Rossi conceded???
I just read an article about Dino Rossi being a Senate candidate in '06 if his efforts to win the governorship fails in the courts.

(Sorry I don't have the link)

Can anyone imagine how the media would have approached the story and how the Repukes would have reacted if a Democratic candidate tried to string things out this long. If Al Gore fought until March, the right would have crucified him -- and then blamed him for 9-11.

1. Nope.
He's pulling everything out of his hat to still try and "win."

It's quite disgusting.

2. The lower supreme court approved a revote...
it has now moved to a higher court.

Dino Rossi, the republican double standard just keeps on rolling.

3. WHAT "lower supreme court"...?
The only court I know of that's heard the case has said that it has the jurisdiction to invalidate the election, but not to hold a re-vote.

4. You are seriously misinformed, quit spreading this BS!

1) There is no such thing as a "lower supreme court" in the State of Washington.
2) the case has not been decided, a revote HAS NOT been ordered.
3) it has not "moved to a higher court"

The case is in the Chelan County Superior Court, they are still in the discovery phase, the Judge has not even set a date for the trial to start yet. AND the Superior Court Judge has already stated that HE DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ORDER A REVOTE EVEN IF THE REPUBLICANS WIN IN COURT!!!

7. What, do sound like a friggin' lawyer? I'm a comedy writer for godsake...
Plus, the Superior court did make it much easier for the case to be passed to a higher court.

Yeesh, you're jumpin' all over my ass like Jeff Gannon at a bath house. Go drink a green beer or something.

8. If this is supposed to be comedy, dude, keep your day job

And just exactly WHAT did the Superior court do to "make it much easier for the case to be passed to a higher court."?

You should find a subject that you know something about to comment on. And if you're gonna expose your ass like this, you should expect to have someone jump on it.

5. Rossi denies that he'll take on Cantwell in '06
Edited on Thu Mar-17-05 08:42 PM by Johnyawl
Link:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/aplocal_story.asp?category=6420&slug=WA%20Rossi%20Senate

From the article:

If Dino Rossi doesn't become governor through court action, he would be the best Republican to challenge Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., state GOP chairman Chris Vance says.

"Yes, Dino has said he's committed to the governor's race, but for obvious reasons the national party and Republicans in the state are going to turn to Dino if - for whatever reason - he doesn't become governor and ask if he'd be willing to run for U.S. Senate," Vance said on the newspaper's online Capitol Chat.

Not likely, said Mary Lane, a spokeswoman for Rossi.

"Dino is not running for U.S. Senate in 2006," said Lane. "He has young, school-age children. At this point, he has no interest in disrupting his family."

This whole idea is the brain child of Chris Vance, the idiot GOP chairman, (who only lives 3 blocks from me). Poor man has no other candidate with state wide name recognition to run against Cantwell. He's even considering running himself!

Edited on Thu Mar-17-05 09:43 PM by Rainscents
were from when they were juvenile crime and now, Democrats are demanding apology from Dino (I doubt he'll do that)... When one commit crime before you were 18, you can still vote when you turn 18. Seattle Times had article on this today.

Juvenile records are supposed to be sealed, so they better hope not.

Shit, I could be on their "felon" list because I got busted for shoplifiting when I was 12. I honestly don't remember if charges were ever filed or not. :wtf:

10. No that trasbag never did conceed
Which is why people are still MAD at Kerry.

But it really does look a wee bit foolish when the Governor has been sworn in for awhile.

Really, civility is lost on thy name Republican. Of course, we don't have the cheerleaders in in the media that they do.

Which reminds me, where the hell is George Soros? Still not buying CNN apparently.

21. The trial court said no revote but let case got to trial
This is weird. The trial court said that it did not have the power to order a revote but let the case go to trial. I am not sure what issue will be tried but only remedy is to judge the winner of the last election and the current Governor is in power until the case is tried and all appeals are exhausted.

22. i believe the idea is to appeal it to the state supreme court
and hope that they order a revote.

i don't know that the state constitution provides for that option.

but hey, what a lesson for gore & kerry, huh? you were gentlemanly & conceded, but the GOP never stops fighting, no matter how long the odds, or how wrong they are. perhaps you should realize that the era of civility ended on jan. 19th, 2001.

by the way, chris vance: SUCK IT, you fat turd.
