Can we realistically expect to take over the Senate any time soon with people like this on our side? During the last election cycle, I gave quite a lot of money (at least by my standards) to the DSCC and individual Senate candidates. Now I have three "democrats" I can't possibly support and will have to go out of my way to ensure that they never get a nickel of my contributions going forward. Ultimately, that means I'll give less.

These three may think they saved their tails in their home states, but they've done such a disservice to the party as a whole, that their tails aren't worth very much.

Folks, we're screwed. There are plenty of "moderate Democrats," but no "moderate Republicans." This is going to require some serious rethinking if we are to avoid Republican control for the foreseeable future.

2. I am with you - the dems have to stick together
on something like this. Plus, I think so many people are now going to send money (I am) to any democratic primary opponent, that their oil money may not help them.

3. Amazing. Had Only One of Them Voted Aye........
Then Cheney would have been voting to break the tie, which would have gone to Big Oil anyway.
Sad how the Democrats allow us to lose. What jerks. Maybe there was some sort of deal at play here regarding judges?

NOT okay. And in no uncertain terms. Hurt them bad.

7. I know what Inouye and Landrieu did....I missed what Akaka did?
I've been up since 5 am waiting for Congress to begin. I did flip over to the House for a bit but stayed mostly with the Senate. What did Akaka do/vote that concerns you?

Gawwwwwd, I'm exhausted watching all of this...intrigued but exhausted :hangover:
