He said he's gotten a lot of calls

Refuge....he says not first time he's not

10. Because Ted Stevens told him to be
For years the two of them have been allies. Our guys vote for what Stevens wants, and he and Murkowski (are supposed to) vote for our bills, like the "Akaka bill" for Federal recognition of the Hawaiian people. I trust the caribou will understand. </sarcasm>

It doesn't help that we (obviously) have no oil underneath these volcanic rocks, either.

3. The Senator doesn't seem to know that drilling in Alaska
produces a tarlike crude, hard to process,
and wouldn't produce results for 6-8 years,
destroying the refuge, exporting it like
other crude to Japan et al and wouldn't affect
any of our gas prices right now.

Move off oil. Fund other ways.

5. ANWR could perhaps reduce our importants from 68% to 65%--a lousy 3%!

And that is not until 2025! Shame on Senator Inouye for buying the Rethugs arguments.

6. That's assuming that
the oil will be for domestic consumption. Don't bet on it.

It's too expensive.
