2. It wasn't a 'report'...
...I can't say who it was...but someone just told me that they 'found' Anthrax at the Pentagon. I looked at all the major news outlets and found nothing.

Could be a false alarm I suppose. Or maybe they just haven't reported it yet?

23. I haven't heard anything about this

but it seems to me that if anthrax was found at the Pentagon they would have made a huge deal about it - somehow using it to their advantage.

4. Yeah...that might be it...
...but the person I talked with insisted that anthrax was found.

Perhaps it will be reported later? Or not.

Thanks for the link.

8. If they really found anthrax - do you think they would
actually make it public?????

After all, Our Popular War President has protected us from Terra attacks since 9/11, right????

(but we won't talk about the first anthrax attackers who are still at large but that doesn't really count as Terra cuz it was directed at the LIEbril media and senior Democratic senators from "up North" and we can forget about the Shoe Bomber and the DC Sniper and all those packages of ricin they found in Frisk's office and the WH last year....)

13. Oh...I almost forgot about our fearless leader...
...and the way he single-handedly tore down the berlin wall and stopped terrorism on American soil.

But didn't they find that the 'other' Anthrax came from a government lab?

Are they intentionally trying to keep American (RWing) terrorism off the radar?

20. "Percpetion management" is exercised 24/7.
However, the neoCONs are preparing to scare the shit out of people in order to manipulate the masses into the next war. This little tidbit may very well be manufactured and planted for that purpose.

Hazmat Teams Search For Anthrax

Authorities shut down several buildings housing Department of Defense workers in Baileys Crossroads on Monday after a HAZMAT scare.

The Skyline buildings off Leesburg Pike were in lockdown mode into the evening as firefighters tried to figure out what set off sensors in the complex's mailroom.

The sensors pick up chemical and biological agents.

Employees in the buildings said they were not allowed to leave and police were not telling them why.

15. Thanks for the links...
...I looked on CNN and the NYTs and found nothing as far as front page news. It was Michael Jackson day I guess.

This seems like fairly important news. But it's being reported with a yawn.

...about how to report it.

My guess is that it will be second or third page news for about a day and then

DISAPPEAR

into the memory hole.

26. They're gonna have to do some DNA analysis on the suspect packages
and It could be a couple days before they have any solid results.

But by that time, all this will have been forgotten and there will be no press release of the test results - positive or negative....

Hazmat Alert Shuts Pentagon Facility

Wire Reports
Monday, March 14, 2005; 5:40 PM

A delivery security facility was closed at the Pentagon Monday after a sensitive detection device indicated an incoming package could contain chemical, biological or other hazardous material, a spokesman said.

"These testing machines are very sensitive and we have had false alarms before. But we take these matters very seriously and are investigating," Defense Department spokesman Glenn Flood told Reuters.

Flood said about 100 people who normally work at the facility -- designed to check everything coming into the building from letters to packages and construction materials -- were evacuated when the investigation was launched following an alarm at around 10:30 a.m. EST. It was expected to remain closed until at least Tuesday while the investigation continued, according to the Associated Press.

27. Regarding the end of this article-
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 08:09 PM by babylonsister
Ricin sent by longhaul truckers? First I've heard of this-how bizarre! I would not have a clue how to even go about finding that.
Regarding: anthrax scare, I think I'll wait to hear what the results of the tests were. If they didn't make any personnel clear out of the area, it all sounds fishy to me.

29. This was something the WH let slip out by mistake last year
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 08:26 PM by jpak
After the Frisk incident, ChimpCo stated a similar package was delivered to the WH.

Which put a big hole in their "see-no-Terra-since-9/11" lie.

There's a reason it's not widely known....

Makes you wonder what else we don't know about.

30. Something else that struck me as odd
If the mail was irradiated and the alleged anthrax cells dead, why did they take culture samples????

Can't grow dead bacteria.

Standard procedure???

Propaganda gaffe????

Bad reporting???
