6. Absolutely true. But I am indeed sorry I didn't pick a catchier thread

title. This is sinking much faster than it should, because I think DUers should see it. It really puts the story together, being not just funny but damning to the White House policies and breath-taking hypocrisy.

And there's sure been a lot more silence on "Gannon" recently. Note the big Rethug talking point about it at the end when the fool tries to claim that the REAL issue is those activist, partisan librul bloggers! When it's the activist, partisan bunch of criminals associated with the blivet** administration who are destroying this country as fast as they can.

There's even a statement that "Gannon" must have a boyfriend in the White House! And it's sure not shouted down. Many wonderful moments -- I love the way they put this thing together.

8. Another web production that MUST NOT BE MISSED: "Becoming Republican"

The wonderful animation "Becoming Republican" passed through DU a week ago but I think it was missed by many because the thread title did not give a clue about what it was. This is a terrific production, absolutely screaming hilarious at the same time that it is dead serious and a biting commentary. I consider it an excellent complement to the "Gannon" retrospective. Rethug hypocrisy and slimy priorities are showcased and skewered in both.

14. Yeah, that jerk at the end was mouthing what I think will become Rethug

talking points in justifying suppression of the Free Internet, the last bastion of Free Press in this country. We need to prepare, because the fight to protect this freedom is coming.

A new Forum on First Amendment issues, including the Free Internet, is just now beginning - I will be sending in the launching post later this afternoon. This is a very important issue, for without the Free Internet, opposing the criminal mob who have taken over our country will be far more difficult. And they know it.

...amazing as that may seem. Or if they do, they have no idea of the full story. The suppression and distortion have so far worked remarkably well. We need to get the truth out. Seeing recognized people in this video saying what they do, plus the pictures of the web sites, has an impact that newspaper articles cannot attain.

22. Odd - I just watched it again (QuickTime/Mac) and it was fast

This video clip first came out in late February, so it is not brand new. It still makes the main points very well, though, and I suspect it wasn't widely noticed the first time. Until I stumbled across it today, I had never heard of it, and I look at DU news every day.

I know you will enjoy it, but I hope you'll report anyway!
