They are REALLY shoving Condi down our throats (pre-'08??)
From a local article here in Plano, TX...KBH is having a book signing deal this weekend. The snippit below is about her book. Somehow the list of names reminds of that Sesame Street segment "which of these things is not like the other"..where you pick the one thing that DOESN'T belong. In the case below , it would be Condi.

In engaging vignettes, the senator examines pioneer women from different eras, fields, and backgrounds including Emma Willard, Clara Barton, Mary Cassatt and Amelia Earhart.

She follows each biography with interviews of contemporary women still breaking barriers today in American government, business, media, sports, art, and education. She offers profiles of women such as Geraldine Ferraro,Condoleezza Rice, Carleton Fiorina, Nadia Comaneci, Barbara Walters, and Sally Ride. She tells how these women achieved success and the best advice they have for other women who are striving to accomplish and contribute to the country's future.

1. These women made great achievements
Edited on Sat Mar-12-05 09:57 AM by ck4829
Condi's achievement - She and the Bush Administration failed to prevent 9/11.

How dare they compare Condi-lies-a-lot to these Great Women.

2. well wait to they get Karen Hughes on as her vice President.
Only Bush would send two women in to a Male society in the Middle East to get the people in line, and start thinking about us better.

3. Unless they are thinking KBH...
She may pull a shrub since she is supposed to run for TX guv in '06. It may be another shrub-like deal: "Oh, yes, I will fulfill my term as gov if you re-elect me" and then whoosh..off to DC to run w/ Condi.
The area where she will be (Plano) is that neon blinking red dot you see on a Texas map. There is no where brighter red than here...it is where KBH and the current TX gov had a fundraiser along w/ Coulter a few weeks ago. The locals would elect shrub's dogs for prez and vice prez if they were told to do so by the shrub regime... hmmm..there's got to be a "bush's bitches" joke in there somewhere, but I am just coming off a 12 hour shift and can't phrase it well enough right now.

6. Did you catch Cokie Roberts last weekend?
I think it was with either Russert or Matthews? They were talking about the South then about Condi and Cokie was asked if Condi could get the votes of Southerners and she gushed "Ohh Yes". I had to laugh. Yeah right Cokie. Are people like Roberts just ignorant or just spinning? I never know.

5. can you imagine how much it must hurt hutchinson to have to praise
someone like condi? it goes against the grain of everything she's ever believed. and that's half the fun of it.

the other half will be seeing how quickly the g.o.p. gets her off the national stage once they figure out that right wingers ain't gon' vote fer a woman for prezydint, much less a woman they believe should be cleaning their houses.

8. the war is in her lap
she was foreign policy advisor during the planning and most of the war. The Iraq war is her baby, she owns it. No way she can run from that. Foreign policy advisor whose "advice" has left the country at it's diplomatic lowest point in history.
