I think the Chimp is at a tipping point. Textile plants closing like mad. Stock market can't break 11,000. Public not buying SS plan. Nothing more he can do in Mid-east. March will be his high point.

2. $58 billion per month and rising, do the math, thats $704 billion...
...annualized but it's climbing. Pretty soon the U.S. will be like Grenada, makes nothing here and has to import everything it consumes.

17. Hi whistle.
Reading your comments, and another one on GD, I tried to find a stie that listed all that the US produces.

Does anyone know of such a site? It's really got me thinking that, other than vehicles, we really don't make things here. Well, vehicles and Mickey D's.

18. Vehicles and weapons of mass destruction, but we import ....
...much of the raw materials that go into the making of those items. The only way that outsourcing would make sense is if Americans owned the entire world!

5. Lou Dobbs...
consistently bashes bush* (and NAFTA Democrats) on Trade policy.
When he has pro NAFTA guests on he asks them to explain to him again how outsourcing is good for America, and then looks at the camera with shoulder shrug and a this guy is a nut if he thinks I'm buying this look on his face.

6. I watch Lou Dobbs every nite, if I can
And he's the only one telling the truth, & he does it every night.

He may be a Repub, but he cares about American workers, & as he says, "the vanishing middle class."

7. yeah, Lou Dobbs rules
the airwaves. He's almost the only journalist left. I keep expecting CNN to replace him with a shill. Till then, I'm watching.

9. same here
He even brought out the word "idiot" tonight. Amazing that someone on the news channels actually tells the truth and shows just how bad things really are. I told my mom and grandma about his show and they also watch him every night now.

objective journalists left on television today. He is a republican but he throws it down and tells the truth. We actually have much in common with him. Rock on Lou Dobbs!

14. what views
make him a republican? Maybe just becauase republicans "used to be" fiscal conservatives, which is clearly no longer the case. I dont believe there is one fiscal coservative republican senator and certainly none in the administration. maybe he has switched parties because dems seem to have embraced fiscal conservatism after the great economic results President Clinton got from balancing the budget. He has been at bush for a long time so I would say that he voted for Senator Kerry. When he plays the daily segment, "War on the Middle Class", that stuff makes my blood boil. You can see where this country is headed. The middle class are becoming poorer every single day while the rich get richer. If it keeps going at this rate we are gonna be in some serious trouble.

16. I call him a Republican because a look at his
campaign contributions show he has traditionally given money to them. However, he hasn't given any money for the last four years, if I'm not mistaken.

19. Last country I can think of that had a huge gap
Between rich and poor and was bogged down in a losing war was Russia in 1917.

20. We're in a totally different position than Russia ever was.
Take our problems, multiply them by 100 and you'll get the idea of Russia in 1917.
