Memphis awaits the arrival of B*sh
Bush is coming to Memphis today and will be speaking tomorrow on his destruction, er, plans for Social Security. They gave out 2,000 tickets and ya'll might be surprised to hear that 1,000 of them went to the GOP locals and only 100 went to the dems/seniors group. No word on where the other 900 tickets went...

I had a chance to go with my boss and could have gotten to actually meet the pretzeldent but I not so politely declined as I told my boss it would be the equivalent of meeting the devil.

Anybody but a Bush in 2008!

1. Destruction is the correct description, a crisis where there is no...
...crisis, a solution that will solve nothing, looting of the surplus with no intent to pay it back. That's George Bush's strategy and it is actually being implemented as the country debates. Lies, lies and more damn lies by the Liar King!

7. My boss is cool
He just laughed as he has known for years I am a yellow dog - and a hard worker - so I guess to him one cancels out the other and the hard worker is more important! (Plus we are both big Tennessee football fans so that always helps to root for your boss's team!)

And, here are a couple of articles of interest.....

Trouble Outside the Bubble

http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/local_news/article/0,1426,MCA_437_3605606,00.html The free tickets for Bush's "Conversation on Strengthening Social Security" were handed out at Alexander's office starting at 1 p.m. Alexander's allotment of 400 was gone by 1:47. A similar rush took place at Sen. Bill Frist's East Memphis office, where 600 were gone in two hours. (Notice in the previous link that Representative Ford's office received a whopping 50 tickets to give out. Anyone wanna talk "bias"?

The Commercial Appeal Site needs registration. You can use www.bugmenot.com to get one. (Is that ok to post? I hope so!)

6. Sheesh, why didn't you go?
Just a few "boos" can make a world of difference, and it's about damned time this Boy King heard some of them.

8. I have to hold down the fort
While the GOPers here at my office go to kiss the king's ring I will be holding down the fort. Not too bad a deal since when they are away I can do my own work!
