Employees of OFC (created to protect whistleblowers) file Lawsuit
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 09:59 PM by KaliTracy
against head of OFC (Office of Special Counsel)! This was on NPR All Things Considered today, and it was positively sickening. As soon as this * appointed man, Scott Block, came in he purged all of the materials of discrimination for sexual orientation, among other things. After this was brought to the attention to some members of congress, he put a GAG order on anyone who talked about the OFC without talking to him, or his assistant first. Then he did other things such as gave several people transfer orders (if they didn't transfer they would be fired.)

"All Things Considered, March 9, 2005 · The Office of Special Counsel, which offers federal whistleblowers protection from retaliation, is now the target of a complaint. A group of anonymous OSC employees claims that the agency's directors stifled criticism of him."

Take a listen! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4528641

1. Hell ,this is going on in every single Federal government office in
the US right now. Many have given up trying to "do the right thing" and took early buyout retirements because they were sure the stress was going to kill them.

2. OK - but has MSM actually covered it? I tend to think a lot of this stuff
has just fallen by the wayside (and that the general public doesn't know of the mass exodus of people in these government offices), because MSM usually isn't talking too much about it. This particular report was more than a minute long -- and had a couple of interviews, and, I think, brought to the normal listener a broader view of what offices in the Government are doing (or not doing, as the case may be).

4. WaPo had a story, buried on about p. 17 of section A.
It was about a month ago. Haven't seen other coverage.

5. so is it not important that an agency created to protect people has a
director that is creating the same atmosphere that they are supposed to be fighting against?

6. MSM hasn't covered it much, but I have to tell you the Federal Government
and all it's offices on a nationwide basis represents an awful lot of Americans. I know several different government employees from several different agencies. The things they have been telling me for 4 years now were/are the reason I know/knew the election was rigged. There is only a handful of people working in any government agency that still supports this president. I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% of government employees have issues with this administration. I have no idea how this is being covered up. Apparently there are an awful lot of government employees that are scared enough about what is going on to get out NOW. Early buyout packages have been showing up on a regular basis for the last few yeaars. I think this is in an effort to get them out so that they can be discredited if they ever do decide to come forward with all they know!

7. all the more reason why this report is important, IMO. I have to say
I was talking back a bit to my radio -- for the director of this Office to be pulling the crap he has is unbelievable. (Ok, in a "normal" government structure it would be unbelievable.) While one report can't do much, every little bit helps.

afraid of this administration but they have EVERY right to be afraid. The intimidation is incredible. I heard about a very substantial amount of missing money in one department that was repeatedly blamed on another office and then when members of the accusing office found out they were dealing with someone that had been a "whistleblower" in the past over a fairly insubstantial matter, they suddenly "found" most of the money but only after they were made aware that that person was taking a buyout package. I'm sure the money will go "missing" again the moment the person is gone!

This president and his administration are raping and robbing this country blind! IMO, Social Security has ALREADY been robbed and his "privatization" scheme is an attempt to cover that up! The books are all cooked!
