Outlaw offshore shells and allow the 2% private accounts

One of the reasons that the SS trust fund keeps getting dipped into is because corporations set up off shore shells to avoid paying taxes. If the cap were raised on earnings, benefits were guaranteed and corporations were not able to set up offshore shells in the Caymens, then revenues would increase, the debt would be reduced and the Dems could demonstrate that they were creating and enforcing regulations that would provide safety in investing.

What do you think? Could it work?

1. one question i have always had re: ss trust fund...

assuming that there is a trust fund (more money coming in than going out) what securities SHOULD the fund invest in? And if the fund SHOULD invest in federal securities shouldnt the federal govt use that invested money?

i hope my question is clear. i would ask a clearer more detailed question but the 'i' and 'k' keys on my keyboard dont work and having to cut and paste those letters is a pain!
