Website Up For Funding To Oppose Joe Lieberman...
Does anyone know the name of the website collecting funds to oppose Joe Leiberman's re-election to the Senate??

Just heard on C-Span that there is a new website started to oppose him but they didn't give the name of this site. Todd at C-Span said they have raised about $12,000.00 so far and are aiming for about a million dollars to GIVE to a candidate to oppose him.

I would be willing to donate, but don't know the name of this site.

Anyone out there know about this. And sorry if I spelled his name wrong, for some reason I just can't ever remember if it's "ei" or "ie", I know the old saying I before E except after C, but not sure if it applies to names. And HIS is the ONLY name I have trouble with, AND DON'T know Why!!!!! I'm going to use a "sticky" to put on my monitor as soon as I look it up!

THANKS! :dem: :bounce:

so since arnie is raking in all the out of state cash and has an ego the size of the known universe, expect him to run for a full term.

2. I have another question:
I get mailers from one of the Dem organizers asking for donations for the Senate races. Obviously, I needn't bother at this point if it goes into the same coffer that will re-elect the idiots that voted for the bill. How does one go around finding out if there is a general fund for these kinds of things?

11. NO WAY... Jose!!
I'm a Died In The Wool LIBERAL!! What I've seen of Lieberman lately haven't made my socks go up and down. And apparently there are others who feel the same way.

I'm not the one who set up the website. I was just asking about it. C-Span is pretty reliable when it comes to info, but I don't know where the link is or who set it up.

12. What group of people do you think Karl Rove will be trying to co-opt
next? A group of people who share a strong bond of history between themselves. A group whose family lore & stories & myths are very different than that of other Americans. A group of people who are vulnerable right now because the chance Israel has at a real peace. Do you have any idea how that would feel. To be afraid for people you love & to want legitimacy and to turn the corner on history?
Think of a group who can affect the elections in a very large State named New York.

Life is different for people like Liebermann right now. Let him go. Things are happening for him that are rocking his world. He would give both legs to have it settled let alone his seat in the Senate. Deal with this time in history and the choices Liebermann has to make as a human being with empathy. Do not deal with it with anger. Liebermann is a great Democrat and a great friend to Civil Rights. Do not punish him for being who he is. Be dis-appointed. But understand that it has nothing to do with you or your needs. If Lieberman voted or kissed exactly as you would want - he would be doing exactly what we laugh at in freepers - he would be voting against his own interests as a human being.

We are Democrats (well I am a liberal). We have a big tent. That means that we will not always get everything we want from our leaders or the laws... it means that we will get what we need.

Just wave buh-bye to the Israel crowd for now. They have other fish to fry. And welcome them back if and when they get the peace they so desperately need.

16. We can have a great Democrat and a great friend to civil rights...
without the war enabler and *bootlicker.
There are plenty of good people out there.
Why compromise when we don't have to?
I'd as soon saute my fish. And I want it FRESH!

15. Looks Like The One...
I was cautioned against donating for now because it may not be "kosher" yet.

For you Applegrove, I understand the "big tent" sentiment, and I often make the same statement, however I'm getting a little turned off with some of our Democratic leaders who don't seem to be fighting the good fight. There are quite a few of them, in fact one that lives in my state of Florida.

Yes, Bill Nelson I'm talking about you again. Don't we have a right to expect more from our elected leaders in the party??? I realize my wishes don't come first, heavens they aren't even on the radar screen right now. I just would like to see some vim and vigor and a fighting spirit for Democrats again. So if they simply go along to be non-controversial, thinking this will get them re-elected when the red-staters hoot & holler, I have a problem with that.

I don't want to feed off the Freepers! I could be wrong, but as I said, he must be doing something to make others look twice at him. That is some website I looked at and I don't think the person who set it up is very happy with Joe either.

25. I'm Still Leery (Timothy)
Even if it is as you say, I still think Joe is going to have a rough ride this time out. He just doesn't seem much like a Democrat these days.

So, maybe I won't donate... but I'm still not ready to pump him up! And we have several others who are quickly moving to the Middle-Right, and unfortunately I think Hillary is one of them.

Sometimes running for office will make you do "weird" things!
