CNN/Wolfie Blitzer Doing their best to Discredit Pro-Syrian 1/2 Million
I just saw a report on CNN during the 12:30-1:00pm block. Once the Reporter finished showing the pictures of the 1/2 Million Pro-Syrian Demonstrators, Wolfie proceeded to try to push the "Some people are saying" propaganda, by pushing the allegation that these are "Bus Loads" of Syrians, Bussed in for this demonstration from Syria.

Then he went on to interview a Lebanese Diplomat, and when ever he went off the "bush message," he would interrupt him, repeatedly saying, "But isn't Hizbollah a terrorist group?"

No interviews with English speaking students either. Hummmmm?

Disgusting. CNN is getting as bad as Fuax "News."

Here's "The Guardian's" take on it.

500,000 join pro-Syria Beirut protest

Staff and agencies
Tuesday March 8, 2005

Around half a million pro-Syria demonstrators took to the streets of the Lebanese capital Beirut today to protest at foreign meddling in the country's politics and to counter weeks of anti-Syrian rallies.

Scores of vehicles converged on the city for the demonstration organised by Hizbullah, the Shia group backed by Iran and Syria. Loudspeakers blared rousing songs of resistance, organisers handed out Lebanese flags and black-clad Hizbullah guards lined the perimeter of the central square and took position on rooftops. Speakers on a platform led chants of "Beirut is free! America get out!"

Large cranes in the centre of the city hoisted two giant white and red flags bearing Lebanon's cedar tree symbol. On one, the words "Thank you Syria" were written in English, on the other "No to foreign interference".

"We have come here to affirm Lebanon's independence, sovereignty and unity ... and say no to the flagrant foreign interference in our affairs," said cabinet minister Talal Erslan, raising huge cheers from the demonstrators. He added the crowd had gathered "to affirm our gratitude to Syrian president Bashar Assad".

18. CNN acts as if they are being run by AOL. Therefore, I conclude, that
since AOL executives are all throughout AOL-Time Warner (even if Time Warner publically dropped AOL from the name) that AOL executives are running CNN.

9. I'm only watching it to compare and contrast the WH/neo-con...
...sponsored Propaganda.

CNN/Headline News is only showing about 1 minute, after showing Martha Stewart, an Egyptian Mummy getting CAT Scanned, etc.

Total BS. CNN Totally SUCKS now.:evilfrown:

2. The Screaming Chimp
causes demonstrations all over the world. No one likes him so he screams louder thinking someday someone will consider him "legitimate."

4. The Rest of the World
is showing the 500,000 pro-Syrian demonstration though. BBC has coverage and so do TV stations in Europe. Tell Bush to get the hell out of Iraq for starters.

14. Behind the brown building on the right -duh!
Don't you know nothin' about terrorists and their ways? Notice how the camera angle is carefully calibrated to hide all the buses and show all the people.

It's just a focus group. If it truly was "people power," they'd be on the cover of Newsweek, cha.

7. I can understand the sentiment
Syria intervened in the first place to prevent Israeli hegemony throughout Lebanon. Many Lebanese see Syria and Hezbollah as the only things standing up to Israel.

However, I have a hard time understanding people who demonstrate in favor of foreign troops occupying their country.

Kicking out the Syrians would be a gamble for Lebanon -- there is always the potential for civil war -- but eventually they have to do it.

11. Whore Blister looked aggressive today
while questioning the Lebanese Ambassador to the United States. He refused to accept the fact that Hezbollah is an institution that has any legitimacy in Lebannon. He also said that the Lebanese government had been disbanded, a fact that the Lebanese Ambassador quickly corrected him on, saying that only the Cabinet has been dissolved, not the government and not the parliament. Blister looked positively pissed (as pissed as little Leslie probably gets in his life).

Why isn't the Whore Blister this aggressive when questioning representatives of the Chimpish government on his show? Why was the Whore Blister the No. 1 cheerleader in the media for the war in Iraq???
