Teresa Kerry speaks up!
TERESA'S BACK: ELECTION WAS HACKED!

Tue Mar 08 2005 09:32:36 ET

Teresa Heinz Kerry is openly skeptical about results from November's election, the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER reports, particularly in sections of the country where optical scanners were used to record votes.

"Two brothers own 80 percent of the machines used in the United States," Heinz Kerry said. She identified both as "hard-right" Republicans. She argued that it is "very easy to hack into the mother machines."

Heinz Kerry did not offer any specific evidence that votes on the machines were altered.

"We in the United States are not a banana republic," added Heinz Kerry during a fundraiser in Seattle.

4. Uhm, did she ever mention to her husband not to call it quits?
UGH! Cmon, Kerrys!

Right now I just want to smack some sense into you.

Do you expect that the people who used disingenuous veteran groups to smear your husband were going to play "nice nice" in the general election?

11. If JK cannot prove it, in his position he can't say it.
All the some of his comments are so carefully phrased. It was clear that he was angry about the long lines and other creative voter suppression techniques used. His MLK comments were very angry and emotional on this - If he thinks it was stolen and he can't prove it, it must take enormous disciple not to say or even show it.

Although no one would say that he controls what Teresa says, I would assume that if he ruled out cheating with machines, she would at least have mentioned that he disagreed. The other possibility that it was a trial balloon is unlikely - if anything Kerry may have to answer a direct question on whether he agrees with his wife.

16. Exactly
It'd be purely a political bad move if he said this and had no reliable proof to the neocons. They won't believe it because they believe they elected Bush both times. We all know it. And I believe what Arnebeck said that the votes would switch because of what is going on now and how nothing is going Bush's way and his ratings are still very low. I love how she is very outspoken unlike Laura. :) Laura just sits there and goes "uh huh" and Teresa could probably beat her in a fight.

22. As someone who would have been First Lady, she said it.
This is why Kerry lost, he would not stand up for himself.

for speaking out, I suspect many many people out there have this strange feeling that the election result unfolded, as it did, against gravity defying odds.

Until a smoking gun surfaces all we have are "unexplained odds & oddities", which are good enough for most academia & believers, but not sustainable, as evidence, in a court of law.

I really wish we (dems) had seen this coming, we believed that we wouldn't be deprived of a free & fair election.

We should have known better after what went down in Florida in 2000.

10. Is this a reflection of a growing belief?
I certainly believe the scanners were hacked and I believe the neo-fascists will continue to usurp power via these scanners.

I am grateful that Teresa is bringing this horror into the open!!!

Of course, both Kerry and Teresa will now become the targets of attack. So, anything I view (have viewed, actually) which attacks either of these folks will lead me to conclude that such attacks are merely right-wing spin/suggestion/plants.

12. Become targets
I honestly don't see how they can become targets to a greater degree than they are. Kerry has been called a war criminal and a traitor. Some RW people were saying he couldn't legally be a Senator. The RW orchestrated a campaign in parts of his church to call for his ex-communication. A racist right wing nutcase has announced his intention to move to MA and run against him. Although I don't think anyone in MA Democratic politics is staying up nights worrying that Kerry will be defeated, but it does mean that this nut is going to hang around stalking Kerry and issuing inflammatory charges.

Teresa, who the Republicans wanted to run for her first husband's Senate seat and who was a well respected philanthropist, was charactered as vulgar and a loose cannon. The MSM view of her was about 180 degrees from the soft-spoken, intelligent woman seen on C-SPAN on a few events during the campaign.

18. Yep
But I think they can handle it. They've already had so many attacks in the election year a lone. All the way from their lifestyle (money and stuff) to Kerry's warrecord and her being an African-American or not. :eyes: They'd find anything to get them.
